A primary school in England graded (评分) parents according to how much they took part in their children's activities. The school graded parents {#blank#}1{#/blank#} A to D. At this school, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(teacher) encourage parents to join in their children's activities. For example, in the evening, they could either play with their children {#blank#}3{#/blank#} help with their subjects at home. "For many children at this school, it is making {#blank#}4{#/blank#} huge difference," wrote Sir Michael Wilshaw in his report. He said children of parents in groups A and B made {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(good) progress than those whose parents were in groups C and D.

Well, not all parents were interested in being graded. They thought it made {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(they) embarrassed(尴尬的). A mother said, "I don't think I like this thing. In a way, it's {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(true) not fair."

But Pat Walker {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(agree) with the scheme(体系). Her eight-year-old granddaughter decided {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(study) at the school this year. She said, "{#blank#}10{#/blank#} an excellent grading system it is! I think that it's good for the pupils, the parents and the grandparents as well."

Most of us might want to do some great things to help others in need. But I found it's not completely(完全地)right.

I'm Wang Ling. This is a true story that happened(发生) to me last Sunday. That day, I planned to go to a bookstore. On the bus, I found that I only had a five-yuan note(纸钞). The bus driver didn't want to wait for me and was going to leave.

Then I looked around and went up to a grandma for some change(零钱). "I'm sorry," the grandma said. "I have no change, either." Just then, I really didn't know what to do. 

"Come here! I can help you," a young man smiled and said. He looked friendly. Then he gave me one yuan. When I was going to give my five yuan to him for the one yuan, he said, "I'm happy that I can help you. You don't need to give me the money. Just keep it."

With thanks, I put that warm coin into the money box on the bus and then sat near the young man. Yes, he seemed not to help me a lot. But his sunny face and kindness were always in my heart.

When do you become an adult (成年人)? The answers are different from country to country. In modern China, adulthood for both boys and girls starts at the age of 18. By the time most people reach 18, they have finished high school and are ready for university. So a person's 18th birthday often means a celebration of both adulthood and the start of college life.

Did children in ancient China become adults at 18? In fact, boys in ancient China became adults at 20 and girls at 15. And there was a ceremony to celebrate this time. After the ceremony, a young person could be called an "adult".

For girls, the ceremony was called Ji Li. "Ji" is a kind of hairpin (发夹). In ancient times, only girls from rich families could have this ceremony. It was simple and didn't take much time. Before the ceremony, a girl would tie her hair on the top of her head. At the ceremony, a woman in the family would put a hairpin on a girl's hair. It meant she was now an adult. After the ceremony, she needed to learn a lot, like the right way to speak and dress.

For boys, the ceremony was called Guan Li.  ▲  Before the ceremony, a boy's family often chose a lucky day and invited many guests. On that day, the boy needed to dress up. The father would wash hands and put three hats on the boy's head, one by one. Then the boy would change into another set of clothes to go with the color of the hats. After these steps, the boy would become a "man".

Crowdsourcing is the process of using many people to perform services. Crowdsourcing explains the saying "many hands make light work" in a new way. At the same time, crowdsourcing follows the old saying that "two heads are better than one". When many people work together on a project, they not only work faster, but they also work better. 

There is a community learning website called Memrise, which offers more than 6, 000 free educational courses in all types of subjects. The courses, which are created by volunteers, include photos, videos, games and quizzes to help people learn quickly and have fun at the same time. 

London's Tate Museum is another good example of crowdsourcing. In 2010, the museum started the Tate Movie Projectwebsite, where children learned how animated（动画的） films are made. The children also wrote stories, drew their own characters and sent them to the website. After that, professional animators worked with the children to compete a film called The ltch oftheGolden Nit. The film was shown on BBC television. 

In fact, as students, crowdsourcing can also be a way for you to deal with problems. Suppose your teacher asks you to create a magic story. And you have written a story, but you're not sure whether it's fun or not. What can you do? Just let others around you, your classmates, your parents or someone else, read it and offer their ideas. Then you will collect some wonderful ideas!

Sometimes we can "Kill two birds with one stone". That is to say, we can complete two goals （目标） with only one effort or action. But we must remember that "two wrongs don't make a right". If someone does something bad to you, you should not do the same to him. 

When I was a young child in school, my favourite subject was Maths. My teacher used to "give me three cheers" when I did well in Maths, praising （赞扬） my hard work and good grades. 

When I was in high school, some of my friends once had trouble doing their schoolwork. In fact, they did not care if they could finish high school. But it seemed that they really got a surprise when they completed their studies and graduated （毕业） from high school. They were "on cloud nine". 

"Nine times out of ten", students who do well in school often find good jobs. Some people work in an office doing the same things every day at nine-to-five jobs. However, it's good to know that happiness at work isn't just about money.

What you need to do is simple. Come up with an idea for a futuristic（想象未来情况的）invention that will help people in their everyday lives, and draw a picture of it. It could be anything from a robot who cleans the house to a machine that does your homework for you. 

Think big and get creative! The aim（目标）is to design（设计）something that is fun as well as helpful. Think about what the future might look like and what would make life easier and more enjoyable. Why not give your invention a name too?
