Makoto Shinkai's movie Your Name first came out about eight years ago. In 2019, Makoto Shinkai came to China again with his great film Weathering with You. So far, he {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (make) many famous films. "I haven't expected that Your Name would be so popular in China before," said Shinkai. When asked about what made {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (he) decide to make the film, Weathering with You, he said, "People usually pay a lot of attention {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the weather, Most people will first see whether it's fine or rainy outside {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they wake up. The weather is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(true) important to us."

So the film describes {#blank#}6{#/blank#} story of Morishima Hodaka, a clever high school student. In the film, Hodaka meets Hina, the so-called "sunshine girl" and he discovers that she is able {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(change) the weather.

Then they use this supernatural power(超自然能力) to offer people {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(sun) days on special occasions(场合). {#blank#}9{#/blank#} it soon becomes clear that their activities are against the natural balance.

Shinkai once thought that the film could do a good job. But as more films were on show at {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (weekend) at that time, without doubt, it was impossible for Weathering with You to be as successful as Your Name in China.

Now about half of the world's population live in cities, but by 2050, cities will probably become even more crowded! All these people will need places to live, and energy to power their homes. This will put more pressure on the earth's resources. So we need to come up with more ways which are good for the environment to build houses, travel and make energy.

Covestro, a company in Germany, is working hard to make the future cities better. Rebecca, the head of the company, tells us the following exciting new ideas.

"We're working on lighter solar panels (太阳能电池板) so that one day we could provide power for our planes and cars with sunlight! Besides, we are also recycling carbon dioxide (CO2),which is the main cause of climate warming. By using CO2, we've already successfully made sports floors, car parts and even clothing. "

"In the future, materials will become lighter and more natural-looking. They'll become ‘smarter'. They'll need to be able to share information using special tiny machine, that's what Covestro is creating at the moment!"

Thomas Alva Edison is one of the greatest inventors (发明家). We can always find his inventions in our everyday life. One of his most famous inventions is the electric light (电灯). He tried thousands of times to make a long-lasting light bulb. Many people nowadays remember him for this important invention. In fact, many great inventions were built on his ideas.

The Chinese cheongsam, also known as qipao, is a traditional dress that first appeared in the early 20th century in Shanghai. It has become a symbol of Chinese culture and is worn by women around the world.

The cheongsam hugs the curves(曲线) of the body and is mostly made of silk or cotton. It's typical with a high collar(领), short sleeves(袖) and a short cut on the side of the skirt to make movement easy.

The cheongsam was first worn by wealthy women in Shanghai as a way to show their social positions and wealth. But it quickly became popular among all classes of women as daily clothes. During the 1920s and 1930s, the cheongsam experienced changes and became fitter and better designed with fashionable elements(元素). Nowadays, designers are creating new styles to follow modern fashion.

Today, the cheongsam is often worn for formal situations such as ceremonies, celebrations and cultural events in China. One of the most popular looks of the cheongsam is Anna Wong, a Chinese famous movie star. She often wears cheongsams on and off screen. Her look helps to make the dress win popularity in Hollywood and around the world.

The cheongsam is not just a symbol of fashion, but also of Chinese culture and history. It brings out that Chinese people can always keep up with  changing fashion over years.

The cheongsam has stood the test of time. It will continue to catch eyes of the public and give ideas to people for years to come.

You are running around in the park. But then suddenly，you fall and hurt yourself. "Ow!" you cry. This sound is very familiar to us all. Crying out when we get hurt is a natural reaction. But what is it about this sound that makes us shout it out？

Scientists from the National University of Singapore now believe they've found the answer. The effort of shouting the word "ow" actually interferes （干预） with pain messages traveling to the brain. So by shouting it out，it distracts us from the feeling of pain. 

The scientists tested how long volunteers could hold their hands in very cold water. There were five rounds of the test. In the first round，they were allowed to shout "ow" when they felt pain. In another round，they had to stay silent. 

The results showed that volunteers were able to keep their hands in the cold water for longer when they were allowed to shout out. They managed around 30 seconds on average，five seconds more than when they had to remain silent. 

"We found that a simple vocal act such as saying 'ow' helps individuals deal with pain，" the report from the scientists stated. 

What's more，expressions of pain are shared among languages. While cries of "ow" or "ouch" are heard in English，South Africans yell "eina"

Scientists said in the report： "Shared among these languages is a sound during which the mouth simply opens，the tongue lies flat （水平的） and the lips unrounded. It is a simple sound that requires little control while maximizing （充分利用）
