People who have trouble walking or moving around often have a hard time enjoying the beach. But hundreds of beaches in Greece now offer a new way for people in wheelchairs to get into the water alone. It's called Seatrac.

Seatrac was designed to solve this problem. It is a chair on a moving ramp (斜坡) that can smoothly carry a disabled person into the sea. In the sea, the person can either remain in the chair, enjoying the water, or go for a swim. The chair is operated by remote ( 远 程 ) control. When the person wants to get out of the water, the Seatrac system brings the chair back to the top of the ramp. It's even possible to take a shower in the Seatrac chair after going for a swim.

The idea came when one of the inventors, Ignatios Fotiou, was talking with a friend who used a wheelchair. The friend said he enjoyed the sea, but didn't like to be carried into the sea as if he were a "sack of potatoes".

Mr. Fotiou worked with his partner and a professor at a university to design the system. In no time, they formed a company called TOBEA to build and sell the systems.

TOBEA tried to make the system easy to manage. It is solar powered, and can keep running even if the electricity goes out. It can be packed up and stored when swimming season ends.

TOBEA also offers other special equipment to help disabled people enjoy Greece's beaches: changing rooms, bathrooms, and shady resting areas. It has even created a website showing where beaches with these special services can be found.

This summer, Seatrac system is being used at over 220 beaches in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and Latvia. The service in Greece is being offered for free. The government and the EU have helped pay for it, they hope Seatrac will help attract more tourists to the country.

①PUA stands for "Pick-up Artist." It started as a term for people who use clever ways to influence their interactions (交流) with others, especially between lovers. This idea has grown, and now it also means people use tricks to control others in the workplace and online. It's very helpful to know about PUA because it can deeply influence how you feel about your development. Here are some common behaviors to be careful.

②Sometimes people who use PUA tricks criticize a lot. They might tell you that you're always doing things wrong. It is just a way to make you feel sorry about yourself rather than helping you improve. They may also try to keep you away from your friends and family. This makes you depend on them, and gives them more control over you. Another trick is called gaslighting (煤气灯效应). For example, you remember something clearly, but they keep saying it didn't happen. They want you to doubt (怀疑) what you know is true.

③To avoid PUA behaviors, there are several steps you can take. First, learn to tell what healthy friendships and relationships look like. Being confident is also important because it will be not so easy for others to trick you. Besides, you should be brave to say no when something feels wrong. What's more, talking to someone you trust like a teacher can be very useful.

④Knowing these signs and how to deal with them can help you have better relationships. It's like building a strong foundation (基础) for happy and healthy relationships as you get older.

Bayika Kalidibek is 72 years old and he lives in Xinjiang. In 1972, he took over his father's position and worked as a border patrolman (护边员).

Being a border patrolman is hard. The border area has high mountains and difficult roads. Bayika got hurt (受伤) many times during patrols. He faced many problems, but he never gave up. He said, "Protecting the border is a job for all of us, not just the country's."

In 2004, his son Laqini started to work as a border patrolman. Unluckily, he gave up his life when he saved (拯救) a boy from a cold river in 

2021. He was only 41 at that time. "I'm really sad, but I'm proud (自豪的) of him," Bayika said. "Our family has protected the border for more than 70 years. We will pass down our family's tradition from one generation (一代人) to the next."

Bayika's story is touching. We should learn from the old man.
