Graham Stookey is an 18-year-old high school student. He plays the guitar very well. He is always interested in taking（A）____ lessons, but he didn't start until he was 13 years old. He took lessons of electric guitar and the other part of music for two years. He was kind of shy. He didn't have many friends, and kids made fun of him at school. In 2007,his dad took him to John Mayer's concert. At the concert, John Mayer played the acoustic（原声的）guitar. It sounded much more beautiful than the electric guitar. A day later, he cut the hair and picked up an acoustic guitar.（B）He started writing music and learning how to sing. He loves music very much.（C）因此练习吉他真的不是一件困难的事情。He wrote a song Jonah. It is about his brother. He's hoping to write more good songs.

One day, a baby snail(蜗牛) found that he had to carry a big and 1 shell(壳) at any time. He asked his mother, "2 was I born with a shell? It 3 so hard and heavy. " His mother said, " Because we don't have bones(骨头) to support(支撑) us. We move 4 , so we need a shell to protect us. "

The baby snail asked again, " The caterpillar(毛毛虫) has no 5 , either. And she can't move quickly. Why can she live 6 a shell?" The mother snail answered, " That's because she will become a butterfly(蝴蝶). She can fly high into the sky which can protect her. "

The baby snail then 7 , " We are so poor! We have no protection like that!"

His mother smiled at him, " That's why we have a shell. My dear, imagine 8 we don't have the shell, what will happen to us? The result is that our bodies will be hurt by the hot sun and we will have 9 to sleep. What's worse(更糟糕的是), we' ll die in the heavy rain. We don't depend on the sky. We should depend on 10 . 

Wendy is a junior high school student.  She is a happy girl and she has 1 friends.  She is also the best friend of 2 .  All her friends like collecting things.  For example, Julie likes collecting coins and Michelle likes collecting dolls.  However, Wendy doesn't collect anything because her room isn't 3 enough. 

One day, Wendy asked her grandma, "Grandma, do you collect anything?"

"The Best Thing in the world? I really6 eating carrots. That must be lots of carrots. I' ll go and join7 . " Peter Rabbit said to Bobby Mouse and ran after him. 

 Before long, they met Johnny Chuck, who asked the 8 question as Peter Rabbit just did. 

"To find the Best Thing in the world! Would you like to join us?" they shouted. 

"The Best Thing in the world?" said Johnny Chuck. "9 is more enjoyable than my own little home, the warm sunshine and the beautiful blue sky. I will 10 go with you!" So he stayed at home and played among the flowers with Old Mother Wind happily. 

 When Bobby Mouse and Peter Rabbit finally reached the grass, they had run far and fast all day long and still they didn't find the Best Thing in the world. When the 11 came, they started going back home. Now they didn't hurry in the dark12 they were very tired and hungry. 

 They came across Old Mother Wind halfway home. 

"Did you13 the Best Thing in the world?" asked Old Mother Wind. 

"No!" Their 14 sounded very sad. 

"Johnny Chuck has it, " she said. "It is being15 with the things you have. The Best Thing in the World is just around you. "
