Do you like shopping? My families like shopping very much. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, so he always goes to shoes shops. He has many basketball shoes in his room. Daisy is my sister. She likes going shopping in the centre of the city with her friends. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} She usually buys clothes first and then eats some nice food. She thinks it's very wonderful.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Because she doesn't have lots of time to go to shops and she can buy many things in a short time. As for my father, he likes to make a shopping list before going shopping. And he usually goes to the supermarket near my home.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}and the shoppers there are helpful.

"I can't find time to learn English. "Robert says to Frank. 

"You can use pockets of time. We have ten1 now before breakfast. Why not begin?" says Frank. 

"Ten minutes. That's nothing. I must2 my dog now. " Robert answers and takes his dog aside. 

After breakfast, the two boys take a bus to school. It3 them 20 minutes to get there. On the way, Frank begins to remember something in English, but Robert 4 songs all the way. 

"let's play5 !"some friends say after school. Robert runs after those boys. Frank spends (花费) 30 minutes on English in the classroom. Then he plays volleyball with the boys. The two boys are 6 in the evening and go to bed early. 

The 7 day, the English teacher asks them some questions. Frank answers every question8 . But Robert's face turns 9 without saying a word. 

How do you find time to learn English, Frank? He asks. 

"I have 10 minutes before breakfast and 20 minutes on the bus. I have 30 minutes before the volleyball game. I am trying to 10 any time" says Frank. 

 Dawn Loggins was born in North Carolina, America. She had a hard childhood because of her {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (父母) problems. There was {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (从不) enough money for food and living, so the family often lived in buildings without power or running water. Dawn really wanted to learn, but {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (学习) at home was difficult with no lights.

Friends are very important in everyone's life because friends are always there when we need them. It's great to have many friends, and I can't think about my life without my friends. 

My best friend is Lisa. She is one year older than me. Now we are in the same class. She is tall and quite thin. She has long curly hair and blue eyes. I am not so beautiful. Sometimes I wish I could be as beautiful as she is. 

My name's Molly. I am tall enough but a little fat. Lisa and I like doing a lot of things together and talking about different things. She always helps me with my Maths and I sometimes help her with her history. I had to do a report on science once, but I didn't understand what the teacher said. The next day, I read it in front of the class. But the teacher told me that my report was wrong and all my classmates laughed at me. I felt very sorry for myself. Lisa was the only one who didn't laugh at me. She tried to be nicer than anybody else and make me happy. 

I am a shy person and sometimes I feel that people don't understand me. Lisa is friendly and everybody loves her. She is also smart and she can deal with （解决） everything. I am happy to have a friend like her.

 Long long ago in China, there was a monster. It had a name Nian. Nian had the body of a bull(公牛) and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} head of a lion. All year long, Nian slept. At the end of winter, He woke up and had a strong {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(feel) of looking for something to eat. At first, he ate many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(child). People were very afraid(害怕),{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  they locked their doors early before sunset on the days of its coming.

 Things changed on one New Year's Eve. On that day,a very old man said he could drive a- way the monster. No one believed(相信){#blank#}6{#/blank#} (he). But the next morning, Nian was gone. And he never came back again! The old man's words were {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(exact) right.

 It is said that Nian was afraid of three things: the color red, fire and noise! So now people fall in love {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them. On New Year's Day, everyone {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(wear) bright red clothes, light- ing fireworks(爆竹) and having fun {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(make) noise all night long.
