ChatGPT is made by the US company OpenAI. It came out in November 2022. It changes the Internet in a very short time. People can ask it to write stories and emails, answer all kinds of questions and even do homework. In its own words, it is"a big language model* which helps users to write anything they like."

Different from Siri, ChatGPT uses a much bigger database*. It can also learn things by itself. For example, if it gives a wrong answer to your question, you can tell it the right one and it can make changes. "It's a really great product!"Liu Xiaoguang, a computer scientist from China, says,"Its level is the sameas an undergraduate* student's. That's why it surprises the world."

But one big problem with ChatGPT is that it cannot give right information all the time. Rezza, a 28— year—old English learner from France, uses ChatGPT to write a passage."It gives little useful information", he tells a newspaper. Besides, some students will learn nothing if they always use ChatGPT to do homework.This is because they won't think by themselves. So we should be careful to use ChatGPT.

Purple Running Track

The Stade de France is one of the most famous stadiums in France. It hosted the 1998FIFA World Cup. During the game, the French national soccer team won 3-0 against Brazil, lifting the World Cup trophy(奖杯) for the first time.

For the Paris Olympics, the athletics track will be purple for the first time in Olympic history. This special track can help athletes perform better and even break records. When the Games start, a lavender(薰衣草) color will fill the stadium, bringing a special French style.

Medals

This year a new TV program called Young at Heart came out in the UK. The program matched teenagers with old people, and asked them to meet twice a week for two months. Two of these pairs were Amelia Ross and Mary Edwards.

Mary is a 76-year-old retired(退休的) nurse. She lives by herself. She likes meeting new people and keeping healthy, so she goes to dancing classes twice a week. Amelia is a 14-year-old student. She loves music and wants to be a singer. In her free time, she likes talking with her friends on her phone and playing her guitar. She doesn't like sports.

Before Mary met Amelia, she didn't like teenagers very much. She thought they spent too much time on their phones. As for Amelia, she thought that old people were boring and strict.

When they met for the TV program, Mary was surprised that Amelia didn't do any exercise, so she invited her to a dancing class and prepared her a dancing dress. Amelia didn't really want to go, but she had a great time. Mary is really outgoing and they laughed a lot together. 

Later Amelia found out that Mary had a mobile phone but didn't know how to use it. It was still in the box! Amelia showed her how to watch videos and listen to music online. Mary didn't like the same songs as Amelia, but she enjoyed finding out new music styles. In one episode(集) of the program, she asked Amelia to sing for her. Amelia was a bit shy, but she agreed. Mary loved her voice and said she should join in the school talent show. Amelia followed this advice. It was a good idea because she won first prize! 

By the end of the program, Amelia and Mary were good friends. Amelia still goes to the dancing classes and Mary is an expert with her phone now. They say they plan to meet every week in the future.
