Louis's Dream Came True

Louis is a thirteen-year-old boy. Writing is one of his {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(业余爱好) and he is good at it.

Once his school {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(派遣去) him to enter an international writing competition. He made up an interesting story about a {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(塔). To his surprise, he won first {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(奖项) and he got the chance to travel in Europe for free. It had been his {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(梦寐以求的) journey. But he couldn't{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(付得起) that because his family didn't have much money. Before the journey he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (数)down the days every day. How excited he was!

Then he travelled to England, {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(德国), France, Greece and Italy. He visited many {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(古老的;古代的) buildings and talked a lot with local people. In this way, Louis learnt a lot and now he still {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(想念) everything there.

Mark is my good friend. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}But he is in the UK with his parents for three years. 

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}So he gets up early and does morning exercises ( 锻 炼 ) , like running and playing basketball. He thinks playing basketball is really cool. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}After exercise, he has breakfast. For breakfast, he usually has eggs, milk and bread. At about 7:30, he goes to school. 

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}His favorite subjects are Chinese and history. He is busy every day. 

Every year, Mark and his parents go back to America on December 25th. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}You know it's the day of Christmas(圣诞节). 

Rick, a school boy, had a love for playing video games. Every day, his1 reminded him to take some exercise instead of playing video games. However, he didn't always 2 . 

Once again, Rick's mom told him seriously that his eyesight (视力) might get poor if he spent too much time on video games. It was a pity that he still didn't listen 3 . He kept playing. One day, during a math class, Rick's teacher got upset when he couldn't give an answer to a question like "2+2=?". After class, the teacher asked him why he couldn't solve such a 4 problem. Rick said that he knew the answer 5 couldn't see the board clearly. His teacher was worried and 6 his parents. 

Realizing what had happened, Rick's mom warned him again that it was harmful to his 7 to play video games too much. And Rick's dad took him to an eye doctor for a check-up. The 8 showed that his eyesight had weakened. After asking about his habit of using eyes, the doctor advised Rick to take action to protect his eyes. 

From that day on, Rick decided to 9 playing video games and take some exercise every day. Later Rick fell in love with sports and 10 his school soccer team. Now he has become stronger and healthier. His eyesight has also got better. 

 Our parents love us in their own ways. My father was fifty years old when I was five years old. I didn't know why he was home to 1 me. Dad did so many things for me 2 my school years. He would always make lunch for me to take it to the 3 . There would be a card with"I love you" on it. He always had some things to make me4 and let me know that he loved me. My friends all hoped that they could get that kind of 5 . I was so proud to have him as my6 . 

 When I left home to study to another city, I thought the7 would stop. 8 , my friends and I were excited that his cards continued (继续). I called him a lot. After I said9 , he always said, "Angie?" "Yes, Dad?" "I love you. " "I love you, too, Dad. "

 My friends called him" the 10 Dad in the world". And when they knew that my father was ill, they sent him their best 11 . He taught all of us about a father' s love. I wouldn't be 12 if my friends started sending messages to their children. 

 As he got 13 , I decided to come home. Those were the hardest days to go through. I was with him in a hospital for a few days14 he died. We sat together and watched TV. As I was preparing to 15 , he said, "Angie?" "Yes, Dad?" "I love you. " "I love you, too, Dad. "

Early in May, a man took me to a new home at Birtwick Park. The owner called mc"Black Beauty". Here I met my friend, another horse, Ginger. One day, my owner decided to visit some friends. His groom(马夫), James, drove him.

 As evening fell, we stopped at a large hotel. A stableman brought us into the stable(马厩) and two grooms looked after us. One groom, Towler, had a pipc(烟斗) in his mouth.

"Towler, get these horses something to eat. Put your pipe down first!" said the stableman.

"All right," said Towler.

 At night, I felt uncomfortable and woke up. Ginger was coughing. It was dark, and I could see nothing.____ . It was full of smoke(烟) and hard to breathe. I was very afraid.

 The stableman came in and wanted to lead the horses out but they were in fear. Then he tried to pull me out, but I did not want to go. Finally, he left the stable alone.

Certainly, we were very silly, but danger seemed to be all round and there was nobody we could trust. All was strange and unsure.

"Black Beauty, come with me!" James ran to me and said. He always gave us hope. His voice made me calm(镇静的). He put his scarf over my eyes and led me out of the stable. Then, he ran back inside. I shouted at him worriedly when I saw him go. Ginger told me later that she heard my voice and became brave enough to come out. Then I saw James coming out with Ginger.

 The next morning, we felt sad when hearing that two horses died in the stable. Towler was responsible(担责任的) for the fire. The night before,a man saw him in the stable with a pipe in his mouth. At Birtwick Park, the rule was"no pipes in the stable" and it was a very good rule.

 It is said that Nian was afraid of three things: the color red, fire and noise! So now people fall in love {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them. On New Year's Day, everyone {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(wear) bright red clothes, light- ing fireworks(爆竹) and having fun {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(make) noise all night long.
