Rooms in Our House

There are many rooms in our house, dear.

This is the bedroom. We____ here.

This is the living room. We watch TV here.

This is the dining room. We eat here.

This is the bathroom. We take a bath here.

This is the study. We read books here.

This is the kitchen. We all cook here.

These are the rooms we have, dear.

My father and I used to climb the mountain near my house. Walking together, my father and I used to have a lot of conversations (对话) through which I learned lessons from his experiences. He always told me, "You should have goals (目标) like climbing the mountain." Without the mountain-climbing that we both enjoyed, we couldn't have enough time to spend together because my father was very busy. I really got a lot from mountain-climbing. It gave me time to talk with my father and to be in deep thought as well as develop my patience (耐心). 

Once we climbed a very high mountain. It was so challenging (挑战的) for me because I was only ten years old. During the first few hours of climbing, I enjoyed the flowers and trees, and the birds' singing, but as time passed, I got a pain in both of my legs. I wanted to quit climbing. In fact, I hated it at that mountain, but my father said to me, "You can always see a beautiful sky at the top of the mountain, but you can't see it before you reach the top. Only there at the top, can you see all of the nice things, just like in life."

At that time, I was too young to understand his words. But later after that, I got new hope and confidence. I found myself standing at the top of the sky, which was as clear as crystal(水晶的).

A Nice Bedroom

This is the twins' (双胞胎的) bedroom. There are two beds in the room. The pink bed is Lily's and the red one is Lucy's. There is one desk and two chairs in the room. The clock and pencil-boxes are on the desk. Look! Some beautiful flowers are on their schoolbags. Some books are behind the chairs. Some nice pictures are on the wall. Is there a kite? Yes, it's under Lily's bed. The bedroom is very nice.

I'm Gigi. I'm an orange tree. I'm in the Whites' garden. They like me.They're my family. I need air, water and sun. My family water and cut me. They help me grow. In autumn, I'm so beautiful. I give oranges to my family. We are all happy.

My grandparents live in a village.The air is fresh and the sky is blue.There are white clouds in the sky.There are many trees and green grass everywhere.There aren't any tall buildings.People in the village live in small houses.Look，that is my grandparents' house.It is in front of a mountain，and there is a river beside the house.There are many fish in the river.We all like fishing there.

 Reading newspapers has become an important part of our everyday life. Some people read newspapers 1 the first thing to do in the morning, others read newspapers as soon as they have free time during the day 2 they can learn what 3 in the world.

 People just choose their favorite newspapers. Some like the world news, and 4 prefer short stories. Sometimes we don't have enough time 5 all the news carefully, so we just 6 a quick look at the front page. At other times, we 7 be in such a hurry that we only have a few minutes to look at the titles(标题) of the passages.

 Today, newspapers in English have 8 of readers in the world. The English language is so popular 9 many Chinese students are reading English newspapers, such as China Daily, 21st Century and so on. They bring 

10 information together with the Internet. We can't live without newspapers.
