Animals and plants are our best friends. They help us a lot in our daily lives.

①The Christmas party is over. The gifts are opened. Now, it's time for the Christmas tree to" retire" . Every year, people buy lots of trees for Christmas. In 2022, people in the US get about 28,000,000 trees! But where do the trees go after the festival.

②Many cities and countries recycle(回收) the Christmas trees. In Berlin, people take off the lights and toys from the trees and put the trees on the streets. Then the trees go to power stations(发电站). Every year, Berlin recycles about 350,000 trees. They can make electricity(电) for 500 families to use for a year.

③In New York, people always put their trees in parks. There, the trees are cut into small pieces(碎片). The wood pieces can keep the plants warm and health y in gardens.

④Many of the trees go to zoos. Once a year, elephants in Austria get their favorite snack(点心). The trees taste sweet. Some other animals also like them.

⑤Some people like to have fun with the old trees. In Germany, people like a Christmas game. They try to throw(扔) the trees very far. It is an interesting tree- throwing game.

⑥As you can see, the lives of Christmas trees are short, but they bring people so much fun.

To feel your best during the day, you need to sleep well at night. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Here are some simple things you can do to sleep better. 

Be smart about what you eat and drink.Don't eat too much food for dinner. It will make you uncomfortable and keep you up. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} If you plan to go to bed by 10 p. m. , it's best to stop drinking them after 2 p. m. 

Relax for 30 minutes before bed.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Both reading quietly and listening to music are great ways to relax. 

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Noises and bright (明亮的) lights make it difficult to get a good sleep. You should keep your bedroom dark, quiet and your bed comfortable. 

Go to bed at the same time every night.It's hard for your body to get into a healthy sleep habit if you go to bed at different times. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Then follow the same routine (日程) each day, even on weekends. 

 As a new student in a school, you will give a talk and introduce yourself in a class. Do you know how to introduce yourself?

 Here are some ways to make sure you can let others know about you quickly:

●Start with a smile and be friendly. This will make your classmates more interested in what you say. 

●Tell others about your name, age, class, hometown, hobbies, and interests. Talking about your family is also a good idea. 

●Speak slowly and clearly, and makeeve contact with your classmates. 

●Let others know what you are good at. This may help you make new friends quickly. 

●Practice beforehand(预先). If you do so, you will feel better when you introduce yourself.
