People often ask me for suggestions about how to learn English. As for it, everyone is different. I'll share some of my experience. I once took a school year English course in Wuhan University, but I mostly learned English on my own.

One thing I can tell you is that, once you've started learning, you should try to think in English as much as you can. If you see something when you' re riding your bike or walking down the street, just think about, " How would I say them in English?" At first, it might be with simple words or phrases, but later you should think about longer phrases and sentences. Now I'm in America, and for most of the time, I would think in English and speak it directly. It's amazing how much this helps.

For several years after I started learning, I was often afraid of talking with others in English because I didn't want to make mistakes. Finally, I got it over. And while traveling in America, I'd try to hang out with friends who couldn't speak Chinese, so that I'd have no choice but to speak English. And I also decided that if I said something stupid and other people laughed at me, then so be it. After that, my English started improving much more quickly.

Cai Xuzhe dreamed of flying high when he was young. He was a new face on the Shenzhou-14 team. He spent 12 years as an astronaut（宇航员） getting ready for his first trip to space.

"I am happy and proud but feel more about my duty（责任）," Cai told reporters. Cai and other two team members, Chen Dong and Liu Yang, left the earth on board the Shenzhou-14 spaceship in June of 2022, for a six - month stay in space. They finished the work of building the Tiangong space station.

Cai was born in 1976 in the countryside of Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. He showed interest in planes as a child. When he heard a plane flying past, he ran out and looked at it till it flew away.

Cai went to an Air Force flight college（空军飞行学院）. After finishing college, he began to work at an airport. The airport was in poor condition. However, he studied and trained his flying skills there carefully. InMay 2010, Cai became a Chinese astronaut and underwent（接受） hard training. He did best in his training and finally became a Shenzhou-14 team member. He tried his best to make his dream come true.

 One day, Timmy's father noticed that his son was crying silently. His father asked him, "What's the matter, Timmy?"

Timmy replied1 , "My classmates often call me son of a gardener. They said that my father makes a living by watering and feeding plants for other people. They often2 me."

His father thought for a while and then said, "Come with me, son. Let's plant some3 . It might cheer you up."

Timmy's father held his hand and walked him to the garden. Then his father took out some flower seeds and said, "Let's have a (n) 4 of growing flowers. We will each take care of a flower. I will care for one and you will care for the other. I will water mine with clean water from the lake, but you will water yours with 5 water from the pond. Let's see 6 flowers will grow better, yours or mine." Timmy hesitated and thought, "I will surely lose the game. Flowers usually grow better with clean water."7 he still wanted to have a try. So he 8 and joined his father in planting.

Timmy asked doubtfully, "How is that even possible when your water is cleaner?"

My Hobby

Everyone has his or her own hobby. It {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(give) him or her a lot of fun. My hobby is listening {#blank#}2{#/blank#} music. When I was young, I enjoyed {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(listen) to music when I was free. There are many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(kind) of music. Pop music can make me happy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I am sad. And when I am tired, I listen to some quiet music {#blank#}6{#/blank#} it makes me relaxed. And I can fall asleep {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(quick) by listening to it. My favourite music is the music that has good lyrics, because it can help me {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(learn) Chinese or English well. I love listening to music. I will keep this hobby forever.

Lucy: It's great! We have a lot of interesting activities at school. 

Kangkang: Really? What kind of activities do you have?

Kangkang: Sounds interesting. What about activities that require us to work together?

Lucy: We often {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. We need to cooperate with each other to complete the tasks. It improves our teamwork ability.
