Tony is a new member (成员) of the Reading Club. He makes some new friends in the club.

In the past, I thought I was terrible at many things, such as maths, French and science.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}I was good at drawing, I wasn't the best in my art class. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(want) to find out who I was, what I liked and how I could do it well. So, in that winter, I took {#blank#}3{#/blank#}notebook and kept my diary. When I filled that notebook, I started another one, and then another.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(keep) a diary helps me a lot. Studies have shown that people who keep a diary sleep and feel much {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(good). It helps people remember what once happened such as {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( dream ), friendships and happiness. Writing about bad feelings can also help brains get over {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(they) and move on. Personally, I learn more about myself and my relationships with others {#blank#}8{#/blank#}keeping a diary. For example, if I want to compare myself with my classmates, I'll write something like, "I might not have clear skin, but I {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(true) like my eyes."

Right now, you might be thinking: It sounds great, {#blank#}10{#/blank#}I'm not a good writer; or I'd love to keep a diary, but my handwriting is terrible, Don't worry! Keeping a diary is not like doing your homework — there are no rules, so do whatever you feel best.

My dear friends, let me tell you something about my daily timetable. I1 at 7:00 and I go to2 at 8:00.I have science at3 and then I have math at 10:00.4 is my favorite subject. I like math because it's5 .Mr. Huang is our math 6 .I like him very much. I eat7 at 12:00 and then I have music at13:00 .I have history at14:00. I8 like history because it is boring. But I9 like art and I want to be a(n)10 . I have art on Wednesday.

People like to take pictures. It's easy for them now {#blank#}1{#/blank#} they can use their phones to do it. Many people also use Adobe Photoshop(一种绘图软件) to make their pictures look {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( good). But an artist called Marina {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( use) Photoshop to make works of art. Back in 2015, Marina {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( see) some old black—and—white photos online. She decided {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( add) color to the photos so they would look more nice. Marina colorized (给……着色) some {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( photo) of New York City. People took them about 100 years ago. She also colorized some photos {#blank#}7{#/blank#} famous people, such as France {#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( science), Marie Curie. Colorful pictures {#blank#}9{#/blank#} ( be) more beautiful. They can help people see the past in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} new way. 

Betty wanted to see the Beijing Opera. So Lingling {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (提出) to take her to Lao She Teahouse. They {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (喝) tea and watched an opera. It was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (困难的) to understand the words, but the actors and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (女演员) were excellent. They only {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(计划) to watch for an hour, but in the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (末尾), they stayed there for three hours. Betty thought it was interesting— that was the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (主要的) thing. However, Betty had no {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(主意) who Lao She was. Lingling said Lao She is a great {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (作家). He is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (特别地) famous for his play Teahouse. Betty and Lingling had a great time there.
