People often talk on their mobile phones when they are driving. But talking or sending messages over a mobile phone can be as{#blank#}1{#/blank#} as drunk driving. They can't pay more attention to the road safety any more. Because of this, about 330,000 people are hurt and more than 2,000 people {#blank#}2{#/blank#} every year.
Now, an American company invented a key by using Bluetooth technology {#blank#}3{#/blank#} help people drive safely. With the key, a driver can't talk or send messages when driving a car.
With Bluetooth technology, when the driver is driving, the phone will{#blank#}4{#/blank#} all incoming calls and messages by itself with “I am driving now. I will call you later.” The only calls allowed out are to emergency services. When the driver {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the car, he then can use the phone. This is all about saving lives and safer driving.

    When people meet each other for the{#blank#}3{#/blank#}time in Britain, they say “How do you do?” and shake{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Usually they do not shake hands when they just meet or say goodbye. But they shake hands after they haven't{#blank#}5{#/blank#}for a long time or when they will be away from each other for a long time.

    Last year a group of German students{#blank#}6{#/blank#}to England for holiday. Their teacher{#blank#}7{#/blank#}them that the English people hardly shake hands. So when they met their English{#blank#}8{#/blank#}at the station, they kept their hands behind their backs. The English students had learned that the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}shake hands as often as possible, so they put their hands in front and got ready to shake hands with them. It {#blank#}10{#/blank#}both of them laugh.

    Chinese people are proud of their food. However, when foreigners like Britons think of Chinese food, their impressions (印象) of {#blank#}1{#/blank#} are different from what you might think.

    I grew up in the UK. The Chinese food I was used to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}was food from Guangdong. For example, a(n){#blank#}3{#/blank#} dish I would order would be sweet and sour pork (糖醋排骨). This is the type of food we generally eat {#blank#}4{#/blank#} lots of Chinese immigrants (移民) to the UK have come from Guangdong.

    Something is changing, though Chinese-American cook Ken Hom has been{#blank#}5{#/blank#}British TV for 30 years, and he said, “At the beginning of the 1980s, Chinese food was sweet and sour pork, mainly … Now you are seeing more Chinese food from Sichuan, Hunan and other {#blank#}6{#/blank#}of China. It is no longer just Cantonese food.”

    What do foreigners think when they come to China and taste real Chinese food? You'll be glad{#blank#}7{#/blank#} that in my experience, the impressions have been very good.

    My personal favorite is Yunnan food. And every foreigner I've eaten it with was{#blank#}8{#/blank#} by the different flavors (风味) when they try it.

    One of my friends{#blank#}9{#/blank#}in Yunnan for a year. She says she still hasn't had “proper Yunnan food” since then. That's the{#blank#}10{#/blank#}when you finally eat real Chinese food—you become picky (挑剔的)!

    Stephen Hillenburg, the USD animator who created the famous cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants(海绵宝宝), passed away on November 26. 2018 at the age of 57.

    Growing up in Maine island(美国缅因州), Hillenburg was interested in the ocean as a child and liked art very much. He studied Natural Resource Planning at college and oceans attracted him a lot.
