    Her name is Su Mingjuan and now she's more than 30 years old. In 1991, when Su was only 8 years old, Xie Hailong, a photographer from China Youth Daily, took a picture of her in a classroom which was in a poor condition in Anhui.

    The photo was later used as a poster for Project Hope. It has become a symbol of the country's efforts to make more people realize the importance of education.     Having received help from Project Hope, Su herself has also been helping poor students. She began to study at Anhui University in 2003.
