Last Tuesday was a good day. The sun was high in the sky and the sky was very blue. Tom said goodbye to his parents and then took a bus to school for an exam. The exam was important to him. His parents expected him to get a good grade and hoped that he would get a place at a top university. Suddenly （突然） a lorry （货运汽车） stopped in front of the bus. Although the bus driver tried his best to stop，the bus still went into the lorry. There was a terrible noise. Luckily no one was hurt （受伤的） in the accident （事故）. Tom got off the bus. He felt a little. "What should I do if I can't get to the exam on time？"he said to himself. A policeman saw Tom and asked him whether （是否） he was OK. Tom told the policeman that he would take a very important exam at 9：00 a. m. and now it was already 8：40 a. m. The policeman picked up his phone and asked a police car to come at once. When it arrived，he asked the driver to take Tom to school as fast as he could. Tom arrived at school five minutes before the exam started. So Tom was able to take the exam on time. 

The Big Stone River is one of the most amazing stone rivers in the world. 

The Big Stone River is the most interesting sight（景象）of Taganai Park in Russia. Different from other rivers, it is filled with rocks and stones. Not a drop of water can be seen. Interestingly, as one comes near to the rocky river, the sound of running water can be hear rocks fell down from the mountains slowly and made the river of rocks. 

The Big Stone River is about 6 km long and is made up of many small rocky rivers. It cuts through a thick forest like a real river. It is about 200 meters wide and in some places, it is up to 700 meters wide. Some of the rocks weigh up to 10 tons each and the layer（层）of rocks goes down 6 meters deep. 

Scientists believe it is the consequence of the movement of glaciers（冰川）about 10,000 years ago. At that time, ice covered the top of the mountains. As time went by, the ice turned into water. The Seeing the amazing river is a great experience. The best way to experience this natural wonder is from above. Come and visit it when you come to Russia.

Feng Yuanyuan, born in 1995, has worked at an ice- cream company for two years. Her main role is to taste and test ice cream products(产品). Usually she tastes more than ten ice- creams a day, but sometimes she has to taste over twenty ice- creams. After eating one, she needs to wash her mouth with lots of warm water so as to comfort her tongue. Through this taste- testing, Feng makes more than 10,000 yuan a month, more than most of her college classmates. However, a by- product of eating so much ice- cream is that she is getting fat." I need to take exercise every day to keep in shape," said Feng.

" To be an ice- cream taster, a person needs to have a sensitive(敏感的) tongue and he must really like ice- cream. Many people may become tired of ice- cream easily if they have to eat it every day, so a good ice- cream taster isn't easy to find," said Feng.

This cool job keeps Feng Yuanyuan busy but happy. She's also very happy that the company's products sell well." After more than a year's hard work, I can tell if an ice- cream has additives(添加剂) just by tasting it.I hope that in the future I can find out what a product is made from with only one bite," Feng said.
