Every school day, we use schoolbags to carry all of our things to school. They are a big part of our lives. But have you ever thought about the history of the schoolbag?'. 

In the Han Dynasty（汉朝）, students in old - style private schools used bamboo boxes to carry books to school. People consider the bamboo boxes to be the earliest schoolbags. There were usually two or three layers（层）in the box. Kids put different things like books, brushes, ink stones（砚）and paper in the boxes. 

Hundreds of years later, people developed a new kind of schoolbag called the budai, or the " hip - pocket ". The budai was lighter than the bamboo box. With the founding (成立) of the People's Republic of China, military rucksacks（军用背包 )became popular. Many people carried them when they were in school. Ask your grandparents or parents about these bags. Maybe they can tell you about their experiences of carrying them when they were in school. 

A new style of schoolbags has appeared in recent years. Many of them have colorful and fashionable designs（时尚的设计） on them, such as pictures of cartoons or pop stars. And they are more comfortable to use. Some students pull wheeled bags filled with heavy textbooks and others carry backpacks. 

Schoolbags are still changing. Can you imagine what future schoolbags will be like?

A highly expected video game based on classic Chinese novel came out worldwide on Aug20,making gamers around the world excited.

The game, Black Myth(黑神话）:Wukong,was inspired by the rich Chinese folk(民间） stories and the 16th-century novel Journey to the West(西游记）,one of the four great classic novels of China.

＂To create a fascinating Chinese story, we also looked to many Chinese classics, taking ideas from their stories,characters and monsters, such as The Classic of Mountains and Seas(《山海经》）and The investiture of the Gods(《封神演义》）. They all inspired the making of the game,"creator Feng Ji said.

In the game, players will step into the shoes of the iconic Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King,and travel to different places, from green forests to dark caves. During the journey, players use Wukong's powerful stick and ability to solve problems and beat special enemies.

It is China's first 3A game, meaning it has high-quality graphics(画面），a rich story,and exciting fighting.The game's production team traveled across China and scanned ancient buildings and relics(遗迹).It put the creations and historical relics into every scene of the game. What's more, the game uses traditional Chinese instruments such as the guzheng, bowls,wooden clappers and gongs. Much of the music is made using Chinese-style chord(和弦）。

 This game is a great example of the talent and creativity of Chinese game developers. As the game continues to gain popularity, it is expected to further spread Chinese culture and help Chinese game stand on the global stage.

There is a nature park in the southwest of our city. The government built it for the rare (稀有的) animals {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(live). The nature park is the symbol of our city. 

Yesterday, my friends and I got up early {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(visit) it. We saw many different{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(kind) of animals, such as tigers, bears and giraffes. The giraffes have{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(long) necks of all the animals in the world. The workers there asked us {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(not feed) the animals. Many animals are in danger {#blank#}6{#/blank#} people kill them for their meat and fur (皮毛). What's more, people are taking away their land and making their water {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(become) dirty. The situation is becoming worse and worse. 

We had {#blank#}8{#/blank#} meaningful day yesterday. Above all, I learnt so much. I think people should set up more comfortable houses for the animals and help them {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(live) in peace. We should do our best to protect them because {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(protect) them is protecting ourselves. We should take action now!

Let's take a look. My dream is to become a doctor, helping sick people and saving their lives. I hope everyone can have a chance to receive wonderful treatment (治疗) for their diseases. Enough knowledge and rich experience are both important for my dream. To realize it, I must work hard to improve myself.

I want to become a lawyer (律师). I'd like to help others deal with different kinds of problems they met, especially helping those who are unable to defend their rights (权利). Being a great lawyer will take much hard work and preparation. I'll do my best to make it come true.

I love to become a great fashion designer (设计师). Fashion designing is so much fun and creative.

Fashion designing does ask for a lot of study and research, and I need to be special and unique. To be ready for the big challenges and competitions, I should put my heart on it.

Since I entered middle school, I have wanted to be a translator. I'll translate Chinese into English so that foreigners can enjoy Chinese poems and stories. Becoming a translator isn't easy. It takes great patience and confidence. I hope to go to college and be a real translator one day.

 What do teenagers(青少年) usually do after school? Are today's teenagers lazy?

A survey(调查) shows that today teenagers spend fifty hours doing after-school activities, homework, and housework. Jessica Watson, 14, isn't surprised. "I go to school from 8:30 a. m. to 3:30  p. m. But after school I don't go home or watch TV. I'm in the school volleyball club and I have to practice on Tuesdays and Fridays. I also take dance classes on Thursdays."

 At home, Jessica spends a lot of time doing homework. "I have to do two or three hours of homework every night," says Jessica. This is normal for teenagers today. On average(平均), they spend about nine hours a week doing homework.

 Jessica also helps with the housework. "My parents often get home late. I have to clean the house. Mom does the shopping and the cooking, and Dad washes the dishes."

 On Saturdays and Sundays, Jessica works in a clothes store. "Mom and Dad don't give me money, so I have to work to get money for CDs and going out with my friends."

Jessica is unhappy when adults say teenagers are lazy. "Adults think we watch TV, listen to music, and use the phone all the time. But this isn't true. I enjoy doing those things, but I do a lot of other things, too."
