In our small town, we have special helpers who keep us safe when things go wrong. Police officers wear blue and drive police cars to watch over the town. If there's a problem, they come quickly to help.

One day, heavy rain caused a big flood. People called the helpers, and police officers came fast in their cars. They helped people and made sure everyone was okay. A firefighter in a big red fire truck came too, working with the police to keep everyone safe.

In another part of town, an ambulance with bright lights rushed to help. Inside was a paramedic, ready to help people who were hurt. These helpers worked together like a team of superheroes during the flood, keeping our town safe.

Remember, if you need them, just call. Our helpers are here to keep our town happy and safe.

Today I visited my old school. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} It is bigger than before. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Now there are many buildings. There is also a dining hall. Students can eat there. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} They can do sports there. There are more ways of learning than before. In my time we only learned from books, teachers and friends. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I still miss my old school. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I could also read books under the tree.

Unicycling used to be something you'd only see specially trained entertainers or circus performers do,but now people of all ages are learning it as an interesting street sport—or just a quick way of getting around. 

How do I get started？

Buy a unicycle online for about 50 dollars. You can watch a teaching video,read the guiding book and teach yourself or join an after—school club to learn how to ride it. Practise somewhere with a longwall,like a school playground or corridor. 

What if I fall off？

You'll usually just land on your feet as the unicycle falls over. If you fall off the front,it's probably because you're not pedaling（踩踏板）enough. If you fall off the back,you're probably leaning too far back. 

How long does it take to learn？

It usually takes several weeks of regular practice before you can ride it.

"When I was eight,I taught myself how to unicycle,because I like a challenge！A month later,I'd got it. I'd ride my unicycle next to mum as she walked the dog,and ride it to school. Then I moved on to a higher one （it's 1. 6 metres）. My tips are to use your arms and head to keep balance,and shoulders to steer. If you look down,you'll go down！Like riding any bike once you've learnt it,you'll never forget. It's a challenge and something a bit different to try,and as one unicyclist put it,it's not like any other cycling —it feels like flying！"

Welcome to the Science Museum. My name is Mrs. White and I will be you guide today. If you have any questions at any time, please don't be afraid to 1 .The more you ask, the more you learn.

Let me tell you about the museum before I take you around. There are 2 floors in all, you can learn a lot of new things on each floor.You all have3 of the building so you shouldn't get lost.

On the first floor, where we are now, you will be able to see a lot of interesting science experiments. You can try them all yourselves. We will spend an hour here.

Then we will go to the second floor. There you will see the IT floor -- how computers work, as well as mobile phones and that kind of things. On the same floor you can see the history of the car. We have some very 4 and very new cars for you to see.

On the next floor you will learn about5 travel. You will see a copy of the rocket（火箭）that took the astronaut into the moon. On the same floor you can follow the history of the airplane.

On the top floor, we will look at how the human body 6 . All in all, you will benefit a lot from this visit.

Zoom and Zip are good friends. They live on a big farm. There are many vegetables on the farm, such as tomatoes, carrots, onions and potatoes. They are fresh and delicious.

It's time for dinner. Zoom is very hungry. He would like a vegetable salad. So Zoom and Zip pick some vegetables. Then they are happy to make dinner together(一起). Zoom cleans the vegetables. And Zip cuts them. The salad looks nice and healthy. They can make a delicious dinner by themselves (他们自己). After dinner, they drink some fresh milk.

Dinner at the farm is great! They had a wonderful experience.
