Today was my first day in England and I learned something interesting about the weather here.It was{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the morning.The weather report said the temperature was only 15℃，so I{#blank#}2{#/blank#} lots of clothes before I went to my new school.But when I was outside，the weather{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.The clouds went away，the sky turned blue and the sun{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.I was so{#blank#}5{#/blank#}!

Boys and girls, my name is Lucy, my good friends are in our new classroom. Tom is tall, and he is very quiet. He has short hair and black shoes. He has a black hat, too. He is on the chair. He has a big schoolbag. Lily is a very cute girl. She is short and thin. She is friendly. She has long and brown hair. Her picture is on the wall. She is near the blackboard. We are very happy to have this new classroom. 

I have a busy but colourful week. I have Chinese and maths from Mondays to Fridays. On Tuesdays, I have a music class. I like singing songs. On Wednesdays, I have PE. I can play basketball very well. Weekends are happy days for me. I often do my homework and clean my room on Saturdays. And sometimes I watch TV and play football with my friends on Sundays. What a great week!

 It was really wonderful news that the policy of"double-lightening the burden(双减)" came out in 2021. In the past, Chinese children were busier on weekends than weekdays because of many after-school classes. Many of them learned exam skills so that they could get into a good high school and later a good university. Others practiced sports so that they could win.

 However, this didn't only happen in China. The Bairds are a typical(典型的) American family. Life for Cathy Baird's three children was very busy. "On most days after school," Cathy said, "I take one of my two boys to basketball practice and my daughter to football training. Then I have to take my other son to piano lessons. Maybe I could cut out a few of their activities, but I believe these activities are important for my children's future. I really want them to be successful. However, the tired children get home after 7:00 p. m. They have a quick dinner, and then it's time for homework."

 Linda Miller, a mother of two, knew all about such stress. She said, "Mothers send their small kids to all kinds of classes. And they are always comparing them with other children. It's crazy. I don't think that's fair. Why don't they just let their kids be kids?"

 Parents shouldn't push their kids so hard. Doctors said too much stress is not good for a child's development. Dr. Alice Green said, "Kids should have time to relax and think for themselves."

Amy and Daming1 talking about the future. "Will our world change a lot in the future?"Amy asks. "Well,2 one knows, but you can guess." Daming says."In the future, everyone is 3 to carry a pocket computer. Computers will 4 people do all kinds of things. We are going to have very small phones 5 our pockets too. Maybe we are going to live and work 6 the sea. People will build towns, farms and factories under the sea too. Machines(机器)are going to do most 7 the work, and we will have 8 holidays.We are going to 9 the moon and 10 our holidays there.
