The Olympics are the biggest sports meeting in the world. They take place(举行) every four years. Many countries in the world take part in (参加) the games.

The Olympic flag is white with five rings on it. They are blue, black,red, yellow and green. They stand for(代表) all people of the world. It means that people in the world are friends.

There are two main kinds of Olympics: the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics. We can see the sports like running, swimming,boating in the Summer Olympics. And we can see some sports like skiing and skating in the Winter Olympics. People also call the Winter Olym-pics"the White Olympics". There are over 30 sports and 400 events.

The year 2022 will be a big year for China because the Winter Olym-pics will be held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou. For Beijing, it is the second time to hold the Olympics. Do you know the first time? Yes, it is the 2008 Summer Olympics. Chinese people work hard for this big sports meeting. Let's look forward to it.
