Do you know some colors can increase our appetite (食欲)? Orange is known to be able to increase appetite and is often used for food boxes or bags in fast-food restaurants. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} There are few natural foods in bright blue.

Colors influence our decisions.

The color of a product can be the reason for people to buy it. Colors can influence the feelings of people. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} So knowing the relationship between colors and feelings may come in handy (派上用场). The use of warm colors in the advertisements or products can make people have a feeling of trust towards the products. As a result, the sales rise.

Colors catch our attention.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} People become alert (警惕的) when seeing red warning signals. The color red is able to catch our attention easily. So many warning signals that require attention are usually red. Yellow and blue are also used in traffic lights.

Studies have shown that certain colors can have an influence on marks. A survey was done among some college students. They were divided into three groups. Numbers in red, green or black were shown to different groups before a test. The results showed that students who saw the red numbers before the test scored lower than those who saw the green or black numbers. Cold colors like blue seem to have a different influence. They are relaxing and increase creativity.

Children in the United States think that the long summer vacation can be a great time to learn or to do something new. The long summer vacation is always from the beginning of June to the end of August. That means young children can spend more time relaxing. Some like to do some reading or drawing at home. Some spend time outdoor activities, hanging out(闲逛) with friends, playing sports or just enjoying nature.

It is also a great time for families to travel to see interesting places for a few days or weeks. Families sometimes go to big cities to see famous buildings or places, but usually they like to find quiet places such as beaches or mountain areas.

It is also fun to go to a camp. During the summer vacation, there are many camps for school children, such as horse- riding camps, computer camps, science camps and music camps. Most children enjoy joining different camps every summer. They can make new friends and have a lot of fun.

There are also some kids spending their time in doing voluntary work— work for free. Kids will clean or paint schools, sing for the old people or read to children. Parents would like their children to do voluntary work because most of them think it is a good way for children to show their kindness.

I'm a 4 in Beijing No. 2 Middle School and I'm in Class 4 Grade 

7. There are 24 boys and 22 girls in my 5 . My classmates are all 6 to me and we are good friends. My Chinese is not very good and they often 7 me with it after class. The teachers are nice to me 8 . 

I like Beijing. Beijing is very 9 and there are many good places to go. But I don't like the 10 here. It's too hot in summer. 

I am learning French and German now, and learnt Italian before, so I know how hard learning a foreign language would be. However, I found a few tips to help me improve.

Go to the country

Go to the country when you are learning its language. This allows you to talk with native(本地的) speakers. It also encourages you to learn the language. For example, when I started learning Italian two years ago, I didn't think I was improving fast enough. Then, I got a chance to stay in Italy for three months and everything changed! I could meet delicious Italian food and beautiful Italian language there. All made me really want to improve my Italian to be a part of such culture!

Read, read, read!

Reading is an important skill in language learning. But I'm not just talking about difficult things like newspaper passages. You may think that reading harder texts will help you to improve quickly. But I advise you not to choose difficult things to read because you might get bored and give up easily. Well, why not choose a funny children's book to read?

Watch TV and films

Another thing that really helps me learn a language is watching TV and films in the language. Again, it doesn't have to be anything really difficult. You can choose to watch a children's show at the beginning. When you are watching the show, you can write down useful words and sentences or try to repeat(重复) what people say.

Children's education is changing very fast today. In the past, especially in the early to middle {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(twenty) century, teachers made children sit still for hours. They made them remember all kinds {#blank#}2{#/blank#} things. Children had to go on reading things again and again until they {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (know) them "by heart". Today many teachers wonder if it is possible {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (make) children learn by themselves first. Teachers only help {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(they) learn. 

However, for some children, school is a kind of place {#blank#}6{#/blank#} they cannot escape from. Going to school is not their wishes but their {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(parent). They get out of the classroom as soon as the teachers let them leave. Some of them want to find {#blank#}8{#/blank#} job but the law will not let them work until they reach a certain age. So they have to stay at school. Sometimes they do not learn anything at all and {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(real) hate every moment at school. They're even not {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(worry) about their future. Luckily, the teachers will try their best to encourage them to learn.
