Every school has its rules. The rules are different. Here are some funny school rules in different countries.

Japanese rules

Most schools ask the students to wear uniforms, such as sports suits or skirts. In many Japanese schools, if the students don't tell their schools, they can't go to cinemas, leave home in the evening or play computer games.

Different shoes in the US

In some schools, the students must wear indoor shoes in school. So the students will not fall down, and they are safe on the floors. They can keep the schools clean, too. Students can't eat gum(口香糖), because it's hard to clean.

No strange hair in the UK

The students can't have strange hair in some British schools. But the students can wear certain hairstyles during the World Cup years.

My name is Tony, and I am in Beijing. I like to be busy after school. I can always find some interesting things to do. 

I come to a new school this term. This school has many clubs and I want to join some clubs. Ireally like music. I can play the piano and I can play it well. So I want to join the music club. Iwant to play at the school party one day. I'm also good at drawing pictures. Art is my favourite subject. So the art club is fine for me, too. Many people like Picasso's pictures, but I don't like them, because they are very strange(奇怪的). I speak English and I can speak a little Chinese, soI also want to join the Chinese club. 

Today, we are going to make a simple cake. Here are the materials (材料) and ways. Let's have a try!

Materials

□ 1 cup of white sugar

□ 1/2 cup of butter

□ 2 eggs

□ 2 spoons of vanilla extract (香草香精)

□ 1 and 1/2 cups of flour (面粉)

□ 1 and 3/4 spoons of baking powder (发酵粉)

□ 1/2 cup of milk

Ways

◆First, you should preheat (预热) your oven (烤箱). Then you should cover a pan (平底锅) with oil and flour.

◆You should mix up the sugar and butter in a medium bowl. Then you can add the eggs, one  at a time. Next, you can add the vanilla extract, flour and baking powder to it and mix well. Finally, you should add the milk. Then pour it into the prepared pan.

◆Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the oven. If you want to make cupcakes, you can bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

Watching funny movies is great for your body. When you laugh for 15 minutes or more, it is just as good for your body as exercising. Laughing exercises the heart and keeps it healthy. 

Going to concerts is also good for the heart. Listening to music can make your heart strong. Children who play with Lego are better at thinking than other children. They even talk and read better. Even driving bumper cars can be healthy. Bumping against others in a fun way can turn anger into laughter. 

And a school in South Africa teaches students how to play. The school finds that children who study how to have fun have better grades.
