Not long ago，I made a d{#blank#}1{#/blank#} to read a lot of books to get more knowledge. So I went to the library and returned happily with several books. But after a few days，I felt impatient. The idea of finishing all of them s{#blank#}2{#/blank#} impossible，because I always found it hard to calm down to read a whole book. I doubted that it was a r{#blank#}3{#/blank#} good idea. 

Then suddenly one day I thought ，"Why not make reading interesting？"It gave me hope again. 

Reading is a journey of spirit. Every time we read a book，we are actually talking with the writer. I tried to pay all my attention to his or her books，so I could feel all of his or her happiness and sufferings. Now books have become a part of my life. I am proud that I could {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the problem successfully. 

Someone once said，"A{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the situation is bad，people still have a chance to choose their attitude （态度），"So Try to see things from a different way. This will change the situation and help you a lot. 

He was the only gray cub(幼崽) of the she-wolf. The other cubs had red in their hair. He was gray like his father. He was the strongest cub. He showed more anger than his brothers and sisters.He made more noises.

He was a carnivorous animal. He came of a breed of meat-killers and meat-eaters. His father and mother lived wholly upon meat. In his first months of life, he lived on mother's milk, which was transformed directly from meat. And now, at a month old, when his eyes had been open for but a week, he was beginning himself to eat meat.

There came a time when there was no meat. For many days the cubs did not eat. They were too weak and tired to play. One-Eye, the cub's father, was killed in the fight over food. Even the she-wolf left the cave to find meat, but there was nothing. One by one, the cubs died. Only the she-wolf and the gray cub were left.

One day the gray c ub ran out of the cave to hunt for his own food. He met a weasel (黄鼠狼)of his size. The rat-like animal ran at him and bit his throat. He was nearly dead when the she-wolf arrived just in time to kill and eat it.

The gray cub was not good at hunting yet, and still needed food from his mother. One day,the she-wolf brought him a lynx (猞猁) kitten. While eating, he heard great noise. The kitten's mother had followed the she-wolf here. The she-wolf and the she-lynx started to fight, and they would fight to the death. ____ The bite was enough to give the she-wolf the chance she needed.The lynx was dead, but the she-wolf was bad ly hurt. For a week, she did not move. The gray cub had to find food for both of them.

Without his mother to take care of him, he learnt what life was about. Without meat there was no life. Animals had to eat other animals to survive. The law was: EAT OR BE EATEN.

I stood by the window, looking at the gray sky and snowy ground. A woman crossed the street, with a thick scarf, looking cold and unhappy.

The morning was ideal for reading, so I turned on the light and lay in bed with a book. The phone rang, and I heard my mum agree to something, mentioning my name. Curious, I wondered what was happening.

Mum entered and told me Uncle Sam was taking me to Sparrow Hills. Unwilling to leave on such a cold day, I hesitated(犹豫) but didn't want to disappoint Mum, so I put on my blue sweater. The doorbell rang, and Uncle Sam asked if I was ready.

"I suppose," I replied, grabbing a warm wool hat. We headed to the station, catching the train to Sparrow Hills. The train was warm, and my body started to relax.

" Can we just stay on the train?" I said as the train stopped. Uncle Sam softly pulled me up and said," You will miss all the fun."

Outside, the wind was blowing strongly. The trees were shining and they s wung in the wind.

"I don't know how long I can stay out here," I said as we started to walk uphill. He pulled me closer to the trees and said," Listen!"

At first, I heard only the wind. Then came a jingling and chiming(叮叮当当)." That's the music in winter," my uncle said. I pulled my hat up to free my ears. The branches(树枝) sounded like hundreds of bells ringing, jingling and chiming. I was surprised and I stood still, looking at the icy branches hitting each other and leaves swinging in the wind. Then we climbed to the top of Sparrow Hills and looked down. The snow- covered trees made buildings appear brighter. Then the sun broke through the clouds.

" The sun is shining!" I shouted. Uncle Sam smiled and said," The sun is always shining. You just need to climb high enough to see it."
