Have you ever watched the program Everlasting Classics 《经典咏流传》on CCTV? This program {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us more interested in reading books, especially classics. It can not only {#blank#}2{#/blank#} our minds, but also make us cleverer and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. We can improve our study {#blank#}4{#/blank#} we read more good books. The more we read, the more we will learn, and the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} our future will become. I like reading. I once read a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} named Journey to the West. I like this book because the clever Monkey King keeps fighting to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the weak and never give up. 

However, some {#blank#}8{#/blank#} spend much time listening to music, watching TV or {#blank#}9{#/blank#} computer games. It takes much of their free time. So I think everyone should read more books, especially classics so that we can spread (传播) our {#blank#}10{#/blank#} culture to the world.

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games were over. China's Olympic team won91 medals (奖牌), including 40 gold, 27 sliver and 24 bronze. All eyes are on the Chinese diving dream team(中国跳水梦之队). For the first time, it won all eight gold medals in the diving(跳水) events of the Olympics. In the team, Quan Hongcha n stood out with her wonderful diving.

When Quan was just seven, she started to learn diving. The diving platform (跳台) is very high and she is still so young. Sometimes she is afraid of it, but she always tries her best. Quan practices for eight hours every day, but she never complains (抱怨) about the training from day to night. In the women's 10- meter platform final, she won gold again, just as she did in Tokyo Olympics.

Quan told the reporter(记者)," Everyone says I am a genius(天才). ButI think it's more about hard- working. I must practice over and over again. Practice makes perfect. That's me, Quan Hongchan, from China."

Hello, I am Jason from Shenyang. Everyone's weekend is different. Now let me tell you{#blank#}1{#/blank#} my weekend. 

I'm always busy on Saturday. I spend two hours learning to play {#blank#}2{#/blank#} piano in the morning,In the afternoon, I often spend one and a half{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(hour) playing badminton. At 4:20 p. m. , I have a math lesson. Math is difficult and boring, but it is {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(help). 

On Sunday morning, I{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(usual) do my homework. If there is time after finishing my homework, I often play computer games. At 2:00 p. m. , I have an English lesson. English is much more {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(interest) than math and it is important to me {#blank#}7{#/blank#}I want to study abroad (在国外) in the future. 

I don't like this kind of weekend because there are many {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(class). I like these lessons, but I don't have much time {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(enjoy) my hobbies, such as writing and listening to music.

 Have you ever seen chipmunks (花粟鼠) ? They look very much like squirrels, but they spend much of their time on the ground. People name this animal chipmunk because they make the special chip - chip sound. There are as many as 25 kinds of chipmunks, and most live in North America. A wild chipmunk can live for 2 to 5 years.

 Chipmunks are very small, and they enjoy living alone. When they are two months old, they leave their mothers to live by themselves. They build their own homes and start collecting food there all by themselves. They do not like living or making friends with other chipmunks much.

 Unlike other hibernating (冬眠的) animals, chipmunks do not live on body fats during winters. They collect and keep food during summers and eat it during winters. In winter, they don't sleep all the way through the winter. They are light sleepers and wake up every few days to eat food.

 Chipmunks may not be as popular as pet dogs or pet cats, but they can be good ones. They can feed on many things from vegetables and fruits to nuts(坚果) and bird eggs. They sleep at night, so you don't have to look after them during night time. But you have to remember one thing— chipmunks have trust problems, so it takes time for them to become close to you.
