Have you ever thought how lonely your pet dog will be when you leave home for school or work? Don't worry! A teenager has created a helpful robot for you. 

Cassidy Matwiyoff, a student in San Diego, California, created Bowwow. It is a robot and it helps to pet(抚摸) dogs when their owners are not at home. " The robot starts to work by dropping the food. The dog walks over to eat the food. During this process, Bowwow is petting the dog. " Natwiyoff says. 

The girl got the idea after watching ABC's Shark Tank. She spent four years creating a prototype (雏形) of Bowwow with the help of her mother. After that, she went to an Engineering and Computing Capstone Design program in Chico State. She was allowed to introduce her invention to a group of engineers and teachers in the hope of getting it produced. 

One of them disapproved of the idea. " My dog would rip(撕) this to pieces, " he said. This lit(点燃) a fire within Matwiyoff. She spent the next four months doing research and testing Bowwow for dogs of different sizes and ages. 

Matwiyoff hopes to catch an investor's(投资者的) eye soon and bring her invention to the market. " One day, investors will be interested in my product and want to invest it. " she said. 

A little turtle (乌龟) is climbing a tree. It is very 1 for him to do so. But he does his best to 2 . After a few hours, he gets to the 3 .

Hello, I'm Steven, a student in No.5 Middle School. There are 30 students in my class. Last Friday afternoon, I did a survey in my class.

There is a young boy in my class who has a hard time saying some words. His name is Bill, and sometimes kids him . Sometimes, he'll say the same1 twice or he'll stutter(口吃). He's very shy and doesn't say much. 

One day, there was a notice(通知) on the wall to2 people for the school play. 

Days later, we saw Bill's name on the list. We wondered3 he could possibly be in a play. The rehearsals(排演) went on for weeks, and4 the big night came. The show began. At first, he stuttered terribly. Some people5 he was joking, but he wasn't. 

Then, the most amazing thing happened. When the music started, he moved his feet and began to sing. It came out quite well. He had a beautiful voice6 he didn't stutter. He sang more songs than anyone and he danced wonderfully. Bill was a7 person when he sang. 

The next day at school, everyone congratulated(祝贺) Bill. He said that it's common for people who stutter to be able to sing quite well. Science doesn't know why, but it's a 8 . We learned more than a scientific fact that day. 

We learned that9 has things they can't do, and things they can do. We all have to be understanding of that. As for Bill, he still stutters. But sometimes when he has a hard time giving an answer in class, he just stops and 10 the answer. That's always the highlight(高光时刻)of the class. 

Sometimes we all sing along too! It makes us happy to see our friend having such a good time. 

I live in a large neighborhood. I have lived here since I was born. I have a lot of friends here. Mr. Wang is one of them. He is seventy years old. I enjoy visiting Mr. Wang because he tells me exciting stories about Hong Kong in the past. He also shows me old photos. Yesterday, I visited Mr. Wang after school. I asked him how long he had lived here. This is what he told me:

"I have lived in the neighborhood since 1993. Before I moved here, I lived in a small village called Pak Mong on Lantau Island. There were many people living in the village when I was young. These years, there are only a few families left. Most families moved to the city for work. I left the village in 1993, when my son moved to this neighborhood.

Pak Mong is an old village. There are watchtowers (瞭望塔) around the village. In the old days, soldiers used to stand in the watchtowers and keep guard (站岗) . Here is a photo of my school. I went to that school a very long time ago. The school has been closed since 1985.

I enjoy going to the People's Park, because it makes me think of my hometown. I go to that park twice a week. Would you and your family members like to go there with me next weekend?"
