Wang Maowei，a 40﹣year﹣old artist is good at making stick puppets （木偶）. 

When he was a little boy，he watched how his parents performed those beautiful puppets，and how interesting those performances were. Gradually

When he was 17，he went to Xi'an，Shanxi Province，he returned to his hometown to work with the same group as his parents did. 

It takes 40 to 50 days to make a stick puppet. The average height of a puppet is 75 centimeters to I meter，and it has different costumes to fit different plays and stories. 

To make puppets，you need to have some basic knowledge of fine arts. The most difficult part is to persist （坚持） because it can be robotic and hard work. Wang was strict with himself. After at least five years of learning from his master，he began to think out new forms. "It is important to keep up with the times and be creative"，he said to himself. 

Wang's puppets are special. He found a special kind of paper to make his puppets. It lets puppet players put gears （机关） inside the puppet heads to make them work—the nose，eyes and mouth of a puppet can all move with the use of one stick. 

With the help of modern technology，his puppets can even perform bianlian，or face﹣changing. To attract more young people

Mount Tai is very famous in the world. Last Sunday, my parents took me there. In the morning, they woke me up early at about 5 o'clock. Because we didn't want the traffic to take up too much time. When we got there by bus.we climbed along the path at once. I felt thirsty and drank some water I could hardly walk any more after about one kilometer. My mother said. "Come on, my dear! Please look at the sights. They're very beautiful. But they look even more beautiful at the top of the mountain." Four hours later, we reached the top. From there we saw some strange shapes of large rocks. How beautiful Mount Tai is! My father said that it was wrong when I pulled a leaf off a plant. We should protect everything there. I think he is right.

 As evening fell, we stopped at a large hotel. A stableman brought us into the stable(马厩) and two grooms looked after us. One groom, Towler, had a pipc(烟斗) in his mouth.

"Towler, get these horses something to eat. Put your pipe down first!" said the stableman.

"All right," said Towler.

 At night, I felt uncomfortable and woke up. Ginger was coughing. It was dark, and I could see nothing.____ . It was full of smoke(烟) and hard to breathe. I was very afraid.

 The stableman came in and wanted to lead the horses out but they were in fear. Then he tried to pull me out, but I did not want to go. Finally, he left the stable alone.

Certainly, we were very silly, but danger seemed to be all round and there was nobody we could trust. All was strange and unsure.

"Black Beauty, come with me!" James ran to me and said. He always gave us hope. His voice made me calm(镇静的). He put his scarf over my eyes and led me out of the stable. Then, he ran back inside. I shouted at him worriedly when I saw him go. Ginger told me later that she heard my voice and became brave enough to come out. Then I saw James coming out with Ginger.

 The next morning, we felt sad when hearing that two horses died in the stable. Towler was responsible(担责任的) for the fire. The night before,a man saw him in the stable with a pipe in his mouth. At Birtwick Park, the rule was"no pipes in the stable" and it was a very good rule.

What great news! On October 30, 2024, China successfully launched (发射) the Shenzhou-19 spaceship. There are three great astronauts in it: Cai Xuze, Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze. Cai Xuze, the group leader, has spaceflight experience before. Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze, the post-90s astronauts, are on their first space trips. Wang is even the first woman spaceflight engineer (工程师) in China.

The astronauts entered the Tiangong space station and met the astronaut team of Shenzhou-18 last Wednesday. They lived and worked together to finish some tasks. The newcomers will stay in the space station for 6 months. There are quite a few important things to do. They will do different experiments (实验), such as space life science and space medicine. Then they need to have spacewalks to put on new special devices (装置) for the the spaceship and plan to give space classes to young students from all over the world.

The success of the Shenzhou-19 mission shows China is doing better in space technology. And behind the success, it is the hard work of Chinese astronauts and scientists. They show us that nothing is too far if we keep reaching for it.
