There are seven days in a week. They are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is the first day of the week. The time between Friday evening and Monday morning is the weekend. From Monday to Friday, we usually go to school. We have Chinese, maths, English. science, art, music and PE at school. I like art best, because I like drawing cartoons. My favourite day is Saturday, because I often listen to music and play ping-pong on Saturdays. On Sundays, I often read books in the morning and watch TV in the afternoon. I have a good time on the weekend.

Peter: Hi, I'm Peter from the USA. Where are you from?

Linda: Hello, I'm Linda. I'm from the UK.

Peter: Nice to meet you, Linda. Do you often come here to play sports?

Linda: Yes, I do. I like playing football. What do you often do on the weekend?

Peter: I often play sports. I like playing ping-pong and basketball.

Linda: Do you have PE class at school?

Peter: Yes, I do. I like PE because my PE teacher is very funny.

 Today is Sunday. Susan's family wants to go out to play. They will go to the World Park. Susan and her brother Mike get up early in the morning.  Susan puts on her orange  dress.  Mike puts on his white T-shirt and black trousers. Then they help their mother to put some bread, eggs, fruit and juice in the car.They will eat them for lunch.  Their father will drive the car. Susan's family is ready for the trip. They will have a good day.

From Monday to Friday, most people are busy working or studying. But in the evenings and weekends, they are1 and enjoy themselves. Some watch television or go to the cinema, others 2 sports. This is decided by their own interests. There are many different ways to spend our free time. Almost everyone has some kind of hobby: it may be something from 3 stamps to making model planes.

Some hobbies are very expensive, but others don't cost anything 4 . Some collections are worth a lot of money, others are valuable(有价值的) only to their owners.

I know a man who has a 5 collection worth(值得) several thousand dollars. A short time ago, he bought an unusual fifty-cent piece which 6 him $250! He was very happy about it and thought the price was all right. On the other hand, my youngest brother collects 7 . He has almost 600 of them, but I wonder if they are worth any money. 

8 , to my brother, they are quite valuable. 9 makes him happier than to find a new match box(火柴盒) for his collection.

 That's what a hobby means, I think. It is something we 10 to do in our free time. The value in dollars is not important, but the pleasure it gives us is.
