In fact，hunger of the mind5 out by wide reading.Why reading but not watching TV？It is because reading6 the most educative tool used by us since our childhood.

Most parents agree that children should eat healthy food. But how can they{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(鼓励)their kids to eat healthily? Our research suggests it should begin by getting parents to do the same. 

We often see parents choose healthy food like{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(牛奶）and eggs for their kids. As for themselves, they would prepare something unhealthy. Why? They are not{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（确定）whether their kids would like to eat the healthy food. So, their own dishes can be a{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(第二;另一)choice for their children. If kids eat from their parents' dishes, both of them may have unhealthy diets. 

Luckily, we found a{#blank#}5{#/blank#}简单）way: asking parents to think of their meals as their own, rather than as a choice for their children. 

To do the research, we worked with a school. The school{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(计划）to help children eat more healthily. It provided a free{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(晚餐）for 100 families. We noticed all the parents{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(仔细地)chose a healthy meal for their children. Then be-fore choosing for themselves, we asked{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(一半)of them to think of their meal as "for you and only you!" The others were not asked to do that. 

The{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(结果）?Many more parents from the first group chose healthy food for themselves!

My uncle Sid is a famous scientist. He likes to make lots of{#blank#}1{#/blank#} （prediction）about the future. He says that in 100 years some things will be better {#blank#}2{#/blank#}now. For example ，we won't have to do the dishes or sweep the floor because we'll all have robots in{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（we） homes. Also，we won't need{#blank#}4{#/blank#} （use）paper money. We'll all use credit cards to buy things. We'll have more free time，and traveling will be{#blank#}5{#/blank#} （fast）and cheaper than it is now. Maybe some people{#blank#}6{#/blank#} （spend）their vacations in space stations.

Family Day is a day for families to have fun together(一起). It's a time for us to show love to our family. Here are some kinds of activities(活动) for Family Day.

We can just stay at home and do some cleaning, do some cooking or play games together.

We can have a picnic or play sports in the park.

Some families may like to go to another(另一个) city to try something new there.

Helping others is a very good family activity. So we can go to visit some old people and do some cleaning for them.

There was a big activity in Shenzhen this summer. People had a festival about enjoying lotus flowers(荷花)at Honghu Park. From 15th June, 2024 to 15th July, 2024, visitors went there to enjoy lotus flowers and took part in other activities. 

In fact, there are many lotus flowers in the park every year. When visitors come into the park, they can see lots of lotus flowers. It's just like walking into a sea of pink. In the park, visitors can enjoy different kinds of lotus flowers from different areas , such as Guangdong, Jiangsu and Thailand. 

Most Chinese people like lotus flowers. That's because in China, lotus flowers mean beauty and purity(纯洁). They grow in dirty water, but lotus flowers themselves stay clean. The culture of lotus flowers is also part of Chinese culture. There are many Chinese poems about lotus flowers. 

During the festival, visitors really enjoyed themselves. They could relax for a while from their busy work. The visitors hoped to join in this activity again next year.
