Have you ever read the book，Dopey and Grumpy（《没头脑和不高兴》）？It tells the story of two kids. One often{#blank#}1{#/blank#}this and that，and the other often gets unhappy. They make many{#blank#}2{#/blank#}，and finally learn a lesson from them Ren Rongrong wrote the story in 1956. Later people made it into a cartoon film and it became{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Children liked talking about it in their free time. 

The idea of Dopey and Grumpy came from Ren Rongrong's{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. "I myself was 'Dopey'，often feeling muddle﹣headed（糊里糊涂的），and my kid is 'Grumpy' when I ask him to do something，"said Ren. Then he thought，why not let children show{#blank#}5{#/blank#}real life？They might learn a lot. So Ren began to write the story. He wrote it{#blank#}6{#/blank#}，more than 5，000 words in half an hour!

Ren was"Dopey"in life，{#blank#}7{#/blank#}he was not"Grumpy"for work. He not only wrote stories，but also translated（翻译）children's books. He{#blank#}8{#/blank#}to work on children's literature（文学）. "This job is so fun. I am{#blank#}9{#/blank#}stories with children to make them interested in reading. If I have the chance to live again，I{#blank#}10{#/blank#}want to do it，" Ren said. "I hope Chinese children can read great works，just like other children around the world. "

It was a cold, rainy day. My father and I drove to a hill. It was dangerous to make a two-hour trip along the highway in such weather. I didn't want to go, but my father asked me to go to see something at the top of the hill. 

After driving for a long time, we stopped the car at the foot of the hill and got out. Walking along a path, we turned at a corner. When we got to the top of the hill, I saw many flowers there, like a carpet（地毯）before us. 

A lot of questions came to my mind. Who planted these beautiful flowers? How? When?

As we went on, we saw a sign with words on it, "Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking. "

The first answer was, "One Woman—Two Hands, Two Feet, and Very Little Brain". The second was, "One at a Time". The third, "Started in 1973. "

On our way home, I was so shocked by what we had seen. The woman changed the world. One bulb（一株） at a time. She started about 50 years ago. It might be just the start of an idea, but she kept at it. I thought to myself, "If I had a dream and worked hard on it, just a little every day, what could I get?" And then, I told my father, "I will start tomorrow. "

My father looked at me smiling. "____ !" he said. 

Once a scholar (学者) is going to a place by boat. The boatman set sail (启航) in his boat and the boat was moving slowly. The wind was 1 softly (轻柔地). There were beautiful sounds of waves (浪花) and hundreds of birds were flying in the sky. The scholar was feeling 2 . He was very proud of (对……感到自豪) his learning. He asked the boatman if he knew 3 the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The old man 4 , "No." The scholar told the boatman that his life was 5 .

The boatman said 6 but looked at the scholar. After a while, the scholar asked again if the boatman read 7 before. The boatman politely answered that he never read any book, so he knew nothing about geography. The scholar then told him that half of his life was wasted.

Then the sky became covered with dark clouds. Soon a terrible storm came. The waves were beating 8 against the boat. The scholar became very scared. Seeing this, the boatman asked him if he knew how to swim. The scholar said, "I read many books on swimming and know a lot about it, 9 I never tried swimming." The boatman then told him 10 , "Then you waste your whole life, because the boat is going to sink (下沉)!"

Pandas are one of China's treasures. They are so lovely that many foreign tourists come to China to see them every year. 

Some of the foreigners even choose to {#blank#}1{#/blank#} pandas. Abe Nobuko from Japan, is one of them. She came to Sichuan many years ago and worked {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a panda keeper. When Abe Nobuko was three years old, her grandmother bought {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a toy panda. The little girl {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it very much. She went everywhere with it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Abe grew up, she learned a lot about pandas. 

One day, her mother {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to her, "You like pandas so much, Why don't you find a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} that has something to do with pandas?" Abe thought it was a great idea. In order to work in the panda zoo, Abe learned {#blank#}8{#/blank#} in college. After graduation, she came to China to study about the animal protection. Three years later, she started working at a panda base in Sichuan. 

Abe does her best to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the pandas at the base are healthy and happy. The job is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} , but Abe never complains (抱怨). "I love pandas and I love this job," she says. 

Do you like pandas? If you do, then try to learn as much about pandas as you can!

Now pets play an important part in our life. More and more people keep pets in their families.

I have a dog called Huanhuan. She is really cute and friendly. She always brings happiness to my family. We all love her very much and we take her as our family member. When we have breakfast, she likes to jump to my mother's legs to ask for the food she likes. When we watch TV at night, she likes to sit on the sofa with us. When I am sad, she can do some funny things to make me laugh. When I make fun of her, she plays with me happily. Every morning, she always goes to do morning exercises with us. Now we can't be without her.

 We get lots of happiness from Huanhuan, but keeping pets needs time and money. So if you want to have a pet, you must spend time looking after it and you should be patient with it!
