On Christmas Eve a few days ago, an English couple, the Hardens, got a very special call. It was only a 20-second call but it was very 1. The Hardens' 15-year-old daughter has gone 2 six months before. On Christmas Eve she rang them. ＂I'm phoning to wish you a happy Christmas,＂ she said, ＂I love you.＂ Ronals and Edwine Harden were so 3 that they started a special telephone service （服务）called ＂Alive and Well＂.     Young people can phone ＂Alive and Well＂ and leave a message for their parents. The telephones are answered by answering machines. So 5 can speak to the child or make him return home. My parents and I stayed in London for a few weeks last year. We went there in autumn. We think it is the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} time to visit England. The weather is usually very good. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} , we need to bring umbrellas with us. Because we will use them sometimes. There aren't too many {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in October. We stayed {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a small village. We had most of our sightseeing（观光）on {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . We went to see all the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}places. We went shopping and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} too much money.

Huntley has shown himself to be an excellent musician. But this rising star is doing 1 than just making fantastic music. Early this year, Huntley went back to2 home town in Fredericksburg, Virginia. There, he met with local homeless families at Loisann's Hope House.

Last night, when I was preparing for my English exam in my bedroom, I suddenly heard a loud noise. The glass on the edge (边缘) of the desk {#blank#}1{#/blank#} onto the floor. The glass was {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. The light in the room was shaking. I looked out of the window and found the whole building was shaking too. I realized (意识到) that a(n) {#blank#}3{#/blank#} had happened. I{#blank#}4{#/blank#} myself that I must be brave and stay calm and try not to cry. I crawled (爬) and hid myself under the bed. Several minutes later, the building didn't shake any more. So I crawled out and ran out of the building as quickly as I could. Or I couldn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#} what would happen. What a terrible experience!
