       Not a good day. My older brother Jeremy is cooking tonight.What's the problem？Well, the problem is that you don't know my brother.You don't know how he cooks.And you don't know that every Friday is a nightmare for me b{#blank#}1{#/blank#}my parents go to their dance class.When they come back，we all sit down and Jeremy starts serving what he calls 'a surprise meal'.

Jeremy always cooks too much food，like fish，steak，boiled ham，roast chicken and sausages.All is on one plate.How can one person eat all that in one meal？Mum and Dad don't say a word.And of course，they don't cook even one meal t{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.They don't want to give up their dance classes.

Spaghetti tonight. When Jeremy says 'spaghetti'，he doesn't say it.He sings it.He loves terrible.There isn't cooking spaghetti，but that doesn't make a difference.It t{#blank#}3{#/blank#}enough tomato sauce on it.There's too much pasta and salt. A{#blank#}4{#/blank#} one of my brother's favourites is vegetable soup.It's always too spicy，and there are not enough vegetables in it.And he puts in little pieces of fish，steak，ham，chicken and sausages.You can guess where they're from. It's the left﹣overs from the week before.My brother 's desserts aren't bad.He gets them at the supermarket.It's u{#blank#}5{#/blank#} ice cream with strawberries or chocolate mousse.But，of course，there are not enough strawberries and there's not enough ice cream.It's u{#blank#}6{#/blank#}for me if my parents go dancing every Friday.I want to talk to Mum and Dad today.I want them to stop dancing.I hope they will hear my s{#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

The Food of the 24 Solar Terms

The 24 Solar Terms are important in Chinese culture(中华文化). We can know the time from them. And there is lots of food for these solar terms.

The Spring Equinox is in spring(春天). We eat some fresh vegetables during Spring Equinox. Fresh vegetables can make us healthy.

Mojor Snow(大雪) is in winter(冬天). It is cold(寒冷的). People would like to have hot soup and porridge(粥) during Major Snow.

During Winter Solstice, we can use spoons to eat huntun and use chopsticks  to eat jiaozi. Some jiaozi look like "yuanbao".

We should(应该) have a healthy diet(健康饮食).We can drink lots of{#blank#}1{#/blank#}and eat lots of noodles and{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. We should eat more{#blank#}3{#/blank#}and vegetables. We can't eat too many{#blank#}4{#/blank#}or drink too much{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Sweet food is yummy. But it isn't healthy. So we should eat less{#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

John: Here are today's specials. Would you like some vegetables and soup?

Amy: Yes, please. And I need chopsticks, What about you, Sam?

Sam: I'd like some beef and noodles. I need a knife and fork and chopsticks.
