When a fire breaks out in your building, you should go outside as quickly as possible. Smoke from the fire is really bad for people. You should stay low to the ground, because smoke(烟雾) naturally rises. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

If you're in a room and it's already too late to get out, close the door first. Then block the cracks(堵住裂缝) around the door with some wet clothes. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} At the same time, open the windows and shout for help.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Instead, stop what you're doing. Then you should lie down on the ground, cover your face with your hands and roll(翻滚). This will cut off the air and put out the fire.

It's useful to get to know these pieces of advice. But it's even better if you have some practice. 

Having a fire drill at home makes everyone able to see how they will do in a real fire.

Chinese opera is one of the oldest art forms in the world. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Different parts of China have their own local opera and there are more than 300 different kinds. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Actors in Sichuan opera wear specially painted masks on their faces in many different colors. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} They will suddenly change completely, and all the time, the actor is dancing beautifully with many difficult movements. Some actors can change face ten times in twenty seconds, and yet you never see their fingers touch their face.

Of course, you realize that the actor has many different masks, one on top of the other. They are made from very thin silk in bright colors. If the actor turns his back to you, you think he is changing his mask while you cannot see him doing it. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Then he shakes his head suddenly and that mask has changed, like magic, into another one! You cannot believe your eyes, and yet it has happened!

To be able to change the masks without being seen is a very special skill. It takes much time to learn it perfectly. The exact method used by the actors is a closely guarded secret that is only passed on from father to son or master to apprentice（学徒）. As China's influence develops around the world Chinese culture travels too. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Niger, in central Africa, is a country with very little rain. 80% of people have no running water at home. So water is very important in {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (people) life, but sometimes it means that kids don't do {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (good) at school.

Children often have to travel far to find water {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the family. Sani, 11, gets water in the morning and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (be) usually late for school. "Some of the other children are {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (luck)," he says. "They don't have to get water. So they learn {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (quickly) than me." One girl, Badjeba, says, "Yesterday, I got up at 4:30 to get water. Then I took it home and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (walk) to school. I was really tired, so I fell asleep in the lessons."

Welcome to my home town—Wenzhou. Wenzhou is a city {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a long history. It is in the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of Zhejiang Province. It has a population of over nine {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. 

My home town is a popular tourist attraction(旅游景点). It is especially famous for many {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of interest, such as the Nanxi River, Yandang Mountain and Yuliao Beach. The weather here is not too hot {#blank#}5{#/blank#}too cold. You can visit it at {#blank#}6{#/blank#} time of the year. In recent(最近的) years, my home town has changed a lot. A large number of people have moved here who are now called New Wenzhounese, so the population is much {#blank#}7{#/blank#} than before. With the fast development, more and more hills are replaced by(被······代替) tall  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. More and more factories are built, and it causes a lot of environmental problems. I hope my home town will become better and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} .

The world's oldest known musical instruments are more than 40,000 years old. For tens of thousands of years, humans have been making music for pleasure and to express themselves. Recently, there has been a rise in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create music. Some AI music has become so popular online. The technology has been used by lots of musicians. Some people think that using AI to produce music isn't creative enough because it just makes songs out of old music. What do you think? Is AI bad for new music?

Yes—AI music is not creative, says Peter

Using AI might be cheaper than paying a musician. If companies can use AI to produce popular music that makes lots of money from people buying and listening to it, it could put musicians like me out of work. If musicians can't earn money from music, there will be far fewer of them creating new songs. Anyway, listening to music that was made by a computer isn't the same experience as listening to human-made music.

When I create songs, I put different feelings and real experiences into my work, creating songs that connect with people at a deep level. Songs produced by AI aren't original because the computer just makes music from the old one. AI music isn't completely creative.

No—AI can produce new ideas, says Mary

I'm a music lover. When I turn on my radio or headphones and a great new song comes on, it makes me feel good. Wonderful music brings people together to sing and dance. If people are enjoying music, does it matter whether it was made by a human or a machine?

I think music makers can use computers, which help to perfect sound and mix different layers of a song. For them, AI is just another new technology, a tool that they can use to express ideas. It won't replace musicians but they can work with it. Building on AI music could save them time. It could allow much more music to be produced and it could lead to new and special style s of music. AI could create exciting music that humans could never have dreamed of.
