My hobby is playing chess—one of the greatest games in the world. My mum t{#blank#}1{#/blank#} me to play when I was seven years old. She beat me every time for the first year. But then, on my eleventh birthday, I w{#blank#}2{#/blank#} for the first time. Now I am always the winner between us. 

It takes about a day to learn the r{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. But if you want to be good, you have to practice for years. You don't need much to play chess—just a chess set (一盘棋) and someone to play w{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Chess sets will be very cheap, or quite e{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Some people collect chess sets as a hobby, but I prefer to play. 

There is a chess club in our school. We meet every week to play with each other. I am the best p{#blank#}6{#/blank#} in the club, and the captain of the school chess team. This year we got the All English Schools' Championship(锦标赛). 

I'm s{#blank#}7{#/blank#} up my money to buy a chess computer. It's very good for practice, and I'm sure I'll make more progress.

A Nice Bedroom

This is the twins' (双胞胎的) bedroom. There are two beds in the room. The pink bed is Lily's and the red one is Lucy's. There is one desk and two chairs in the room. The clock and pencil-boxes are on the desk. Look! Some beautiful flowers are on their schoolbags. Some books are behind the chairs. Some nice pictures are on the wall. Is there a kite? Yes, it's under Lily's bed. The bedroom is very nice.

Welcome to our school. This is a playground. That is a garden. There are 40 classrooms in the school. We have a library, a lunch room and a music room. The library is big. It has many books. The lunch room is clean. The music room is cool. They are on the first floor. On the second floor, there are two teachers' offices, an art room and a computer room. I like playing computer games in the computer room. There are 30 computers in it. My computer room is on the second floor, too. This way, please.

Welcome to our school. There are 20 classrooms in the school. Look! This is a big playground. We have a library and an art room. They are on the first floor. On the second floor, we have a computer room, a music room and the teachers' office. My classroom is on the second floor, too. I like it.
