Boom! A clap of thunder (一声霹雳) made the old house shake. Ramon stayed under his bed. A flash of lightning (一道闪电) lit up the room."I hate this house,"Ramon thought. It was his first night in his new home.

    The house had belonged to his grandma. It was very, very old. It looked really scary at night. The trees outside his windows looked like monsters (怪物) in the dark. Their branches (树枝) looked like long arms. They waved when the wind blew. The storm made everything even scarier. Ramon hated storms, and it seemed worse in the old house.

    Later the thunder became quieter. Ramon climbed into bed and fell asleep. When he woke up, the sun was shining through his windows. Ramon climbed out of bed.

    The trees outside didn't look like monsters anymore. The branches had nice green leaves growing on them. Ramon could see a bird sitting on one of the branches. It was singing a happy song. The yard looked pretty nice in the daylight. A stream (溪) ran across the yard. A swing hung from one of the trees. Many flowers grew next to the  tree.  Butterflies  flew  around  the flowers.

    "Maybe living here won't be so bad after all," Ramon thought.

    It's five o'clock in the afternoon. School1and the students from Class 3 are going to Grandma Liang's house. Grandma Liang has no2or daughters. So the children often go to help3do some housework.

    Now the children are at Grandma Liang's4. Grandma Liang is very5to see them. Look! Lily is6with Grandma Liang in the living room. Betty is cleaning the7. Jane is washing clothes outside the room.8is Ann? Oh, she is in the kitchen. She is making9for Grandma Liang, Jim is next to Ann. He is10her.

I'm Eason. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in "New York with my family. I like reading very much, and I have many books at {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, I'm in the school book club now. There're{#blank#}3{#/blank#}students and three teachers in the club. We meet from 7:00 to 8:00 {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  Wednesday afternoon. We usually{#blank#}5{#/blank#}about one book together. Our teacher {#blank#}6{#/blank#} asks us some questions about the book. All of us want to answer them, because it's interesting {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a game. There's a new book {#blank#}10{#/blank#}every month in the club. I like the show very much and I never miss (错过)it!

Jenny is my good friend. She likes sports very much. She plays tennis twice a week and she plays ping—pong three times a week. She also likes English. She reads English every morning. She goes to the movies with her mother once a month. She hardly ever watches TV at home. She does her homework every day.
