Mrs.White likes sports.She looks short and thin，but she is stronger than any one of her friends.Her husband likes drinking and spends much money on it.So she has to work hard to buy enough food for her family.

It was Mrs.White's thirtieth birthday yesterday.Her husband had little money to buy a good present for her.He had to buy a cheep necklace and gave it to her wife.

This evening，after the Whites had supper，the woman went to the shop to buy some bread for the next breakfast.At a street corner，a young man came out and try to rob（抢劫） her necklace.Mrs.White collared him（揪住衣领） to stop him doing that.The young man had to run away as quickly as he could.A policeman found it and came up to her and said，"Could you tell what character（特征） the young man has，madam？We'll try our best to catch him."

"Never mind，sir，"said the woman."He robbed me of my necklace but I robbed him of his.Mine is made from glass but his is made of gold."

When to come?

If you can avoid(避免)the busy months----July and August, your visit will becheaper.

There will be smaller numbers of visitors. British weather is pleasant from April to the end of September. Ofcourse,you can visit it in winter, but it is often dark by 4 p.m. Many places, such as large houses and castles(城堡),are closed early in winter. However, if you want to visitmuseums,or theaters,winter may be a good time to visit.

Be prepared.

If you are a student, it's a good idea to have an International Student Id Card(国际学生身份证).With this card, you can save a lot of money. You can get the card from your local student traveloffice,and you can also call(44)-08708-41324 to get it. To get the card, you need to show that you are a student, get a passport photo, and pay a little money.
