    I'm not much of a crier most of the time. But {#blank#}1{#/blank#} when I was reading a book on a plane, I started crying. Of course, it came as a big surprise when tears came up, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't {#blank#}2{#/blank#} myself.

    Oh no, not this now. I thought to myself. But even as the thought entered my brain. I felt the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} hot drop of salty water coming down my face. I put my head down, hoping that I could go on reading.

    In fact, the harder I tried, the more tears pushed their way out of my eyes. You could guess how surprised the man next to me looked.

    My head {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in shame. He must think I was crazy. Maybe I could turn towards him, hold up the cover of the book and say in my crying voice. "I'm sorry, sir. It's just a really good book!" But I didn't, say anything. Instead, I just put my head back against the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and let the tears run. Do you know what decision I made while I was crying? My decision was that it was OK if he thought I was crazy.     I've been that girl who has spent so much time trying to make sure people didn't think f was crazy. But now I don't want to be that girl any more —that bored and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} girl. I'd rather {#blank#}8{#/blank#} this girl who is able to forgive (原谅), love and act, even if it means being disappointed or being hurt again and again.

Wang Hua is a twenty-year-old young man. Two years ago, he finished high school and found a job in a shop. Usually he works until 9 o'clock at night. He is very tired when he gets home. After a quick supper, he always goes to bed quietly. His grandma who lives downstairs (楼下) is happy with this. 

One day, on his way home, he happened to meet Zhou Weilun. They were both happy because they hadn't seen each other since graduation (毕业). They talked about their school, teachers, classmates and their future. They couldn't stop and went to Wang Hua's house together with some fruit and drinks. They went on talking there. 

"Have a look at your watch, Wang Hua. I left mine at home," Zhou Weilun said. "What time is it? Maybe I should go home. "

"Sorry, but there is something wrong with my watch," said Wang Hua. 

Wang Hua thought for a while and began to stamp (跺脚) his foot on the floor. "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The sound woke up his grandma. The old woman shouted, "It is twelve o'clock at night, Wang Hua. Why are you still jumping upstairs?"

Ben could hear strong winds outside his home in Alabama. Black clouds were making the sky very dark. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} The news on TV reported that a heavy rainstorm was in the area.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Ben's dad was putting pieces of wood over the windows while his brother was making sure the flashlights (手电筒) and radio were working. He also put some candles and matches on the table. Ben was helping his mom make dinner.

When he woke up, the sun was rising. He went outside with his family and found the neighborhood in a mess. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}The family joined the neighbors to help clean up the neighborhood together. Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.

Let me tell you about my hometown. I live in Kinsale. It may be one of the smallest towns in England.

The fish restaurant is very good. It takes ten minutes to get there from my house. It cooks the best fish for people. The food is delicious to eat. So you can see many people from different countries in the fish restaurant.

My town is very beautiful because it is near the sea. In summer it is very hot and you can go swimming in the sea. People here like swimming very much. There are three small shops and you can buy your friends many things there. You can pay a little for them. The big shop is next to the post office. Things there are expensive.

The people in my town are friendly. It is easy for you to make friends with them. If you feel sick, there is a hospital with doctors and nurses. They are always helping anyone in the small town.
