A bird stands in a tree. The bird has some bread in her mouth. A fox comes and sees the bird and the bread. He is so {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. He wants to eat the bread. Then the fox has an idea. He says, "Miss Bird, you're beautiful. Can you sing beautiful songs, too? The bird is very {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. She opens her mouth and starts to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. The bread falls down. The fox {#blank#}4{#/blank#} it quickly. "Thank you, " says the fox. "You have a nice voice, but you are not very{#blank#}5{#/blank#}."

They' re spiders(蜘蛛). Spiders have eight legs. They have many eyes. But they can't see far. They eat insects and small animals.

They' re snails(蜗牛). They have soft bodies and hard shells(外壳). They like eating leaves, roots and fruit of plants.

This is a ladybird(瓢虫). It has six legs. It has black dots(点) on its back. It eats bad bugs. Farmers like it very much.

I was born in a small river. When I was young, the river was my home. I did not know my father or mother, but I had many, many brothers and sisters. I swam and played with them.

At that time, I did not look like my father or mother. I had no legs, but I had a long tail. So I looked like a fish. Then my tail became shorter and shorter. And now I have four legs and a very short tail.

I know I'm going to have no tail at all soon. I'm going to be like my father and mother. Then I'm going to jump out of the water. I'm going to live on the land and in the water, too. I'm going to eat a lot of insects, a lot of bad insects.
