 One of the most important reasons is when some one becomes a parent, he or she likes worrying things. They worry about everything about you, from the time you were born. They do a lot for you, though something would make you angry because they care about you and worry about you. They worry about your choice of friends, the food you eat , your work at school, how much sleep you get and so on. All these things are part of your life. They want you to live healthily and happily.

 So how can you make things easier on yourself? It's easier than you think. Make sure your parents know what you' re doing. Get them to know your friends. Phone them if you get home later than usual. Say sorry to them when you make mistakes. Talk about your ideas with them. They may talk about theirs with you. Most of all, try to think about why your parents do this or do that. They are still practicing being parents and need help you can give them.

When my first wartime Christmas came, I was in a new soldier school in Ashland and not sure if I could make it home for the holidays. On the afternoon of December 23, we were told some of us would have three-day holidays posted. I was one of the lucky soldiers.

It was Christmas Eve when I arrived home, and a light snow had fallen. Mother opened the front door. I could see over her, into the corner of the living room where the tree had always stood. There were lights all colors shining in the green of the tree.

"Where did it come from?" I asked.
