    Steven is my pen pal. There are five people in his family. His father is a PE teacher. His mother is a nurse. He has a sister and a brother. His sister is twenty minutes younger than his brother. They are all middle school students now. "They are in the same school. They go to school together every day. They are all good at PE. They are Americans. but they can speak a little Japanese. Because they lived in Japan last year. He said his family would come to China next year. I am very happy. I hope they will come soon.

A：Hello, Nancy. Welcome to my home!   

B：Thank you, Mike. What's that over there?

A：It's a photo of my family.     

B：Who's the man in dark green trousers?

A：He's my grandfather.    

B：Are the man and woman your parents?

A：Yes. The one with a big nose is my father. The one next to him is my mother.

B：Is the girl in a red skirt your sister?

A：No, she's my uncle's daughter. She is my cousin. Lily.

B：She looks young and pretty. Is the woman in a white dress your grandmother?

A：Yes, she is. She's sixty years old.

B：Who's the little boy in a blue hat? Is he your brother?

A：No, it's me! The boy in a yellow hat is my brother.

    Life（生活）was different in my grandpa's hometown many years ago.

    In the past, people cooked on a fire. They didn't have TVs or radios. There were no buses. They had to live in small houses. They didn't have enough food.

    Now, there are lots of buses and cars in Grandpa's hometown. They live in big houses or buildings. They cook with natural gas（天然气）and have lots of food. They can use mobile phones（手机）. They even have computers and use the Internet.

    Spring is coming. The sun shines in the blue sky. Tim and his friends usually go out and enjoy spring. They go to a big park-on Sundays. Amy sits on the bench and listens to music. Sometimes she sings with the music. Mary reads a storybook on the swing(秋千). She likes reading very much. Peter and John go fishing near the lake. Peter is good at fishing. But John is learning how to fish. He likes eating fish, so he wants to catch many fish. Tim and Bob play chess under a tree. All the children have a good time.

    Today is Daming's birthday. Jim is going to make a birthday card for him. Jim's mum is at the supermarket. She's buying things for the party. But bags are too heavy. There is a birthday cake. There is a special gift for Darning. The gift is three balloons. They say "Happy Birthday, Darning!" Darting will have a great party.
