How to Study for Exams

Taking exams is stressful, but you can make it easier by improving the way you study. Studying for your exams will keep you from feeling unprepared, and it will set you up for success!{#blank#}1{#/blank#} 

This is easier said than done, but learning how to take good notes will help you once it comes time to study. Write down everything your teacher writes on the board or puts up in slides. Try to record as much of what the teacher says as possible. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} 

Studying in a dark room is not recommended (推荐). Add lights at night, or in the daytime, open the window coverings (open the window a little, too). People tend to study and focus better in a brighter room with little noise. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 

Think of your teacher: What is my teacher most likely to ask on the exam? What materials the teacher once emphasized (强调) before exams? This may help you review the most important information for the exams. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} 

You need some time to take breaks and it is better to study when you are feeling relaxed than to exhaust (筋疲力尽) yourself studying all day! Carefully plan your break and study time. Usually, a 20-30 minutes of study and then a 5-minute break is the most effective. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} 

If you don't know the answer to the question, do the next one and come back to it at the end. Struggling and concentrating on a question you don't know the answer to can be time consuming (消耗), which makes you lose marks.

One evening, I invited a group of my friends to my house, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}them that I need their help for a study and it would take only a few minutes. 

They all sat down nervously (紧张地) when they saw a recorder （录音器）in my{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Seeing that, I told a "lie" that there was only one small task (任务) for them—ｔhat was just to count from one to twenty. 

Then each of them in turn counted from one to twenty. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}it was over, I pretended (假装) to turn the recorder off and brought some drinks for them. Enjoying the drinks, we started to talk and joke{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

Well, my{#blank#}5{#/blank#} task began—to record each one's speech （发言）for a study. 

How to Find Yourself

Do you often feel lost? If yes, look for ways to find yourself by going through the following tips.

The first thing to do is to have a rest from everything. Give time to yourself to think why you seem lost. Is it because of overwork? Is it because you are not living a life that you want? Or is it because you are not happy with the people or things around you?

Look within and find yourself in you instead of（代替）being the way others want you to be. Think about the things that you would want to do, the places that you would like to visit and the way of life that you would like to follow. Then think how you would want others to describe you. l

Thinking about the past, the time or situations（处境）when you were the happiest, is another way to find yourself. This will help you be sure of what you want to do in life.

Knowing yourself and deciding what to do with your life will not come to you in a day or two. Tt can take months or sometimes even years to truly find yourself. So, it's important that you have a writing habit of all your feelings and thoughts.

Once you have known what you want to do with your life, make a move for a change. Even if it means taking up small things such as dancing or painting, go ahead and do it. If you want a job change, plan and take action so that it can take place successfully.

How to Develop Good Habits

Having a good habit can make a great difference in people's lives.

The world's oldest known musical instruments are more than 40,000 years old. For tens of thousands of years, humans have been making music for pleasure and to express themselves. Recently, there has been a rise in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create music. Some AI music has become so popular online. The technology has been used by lots of musicians. Some people think that using AI to produce music isn't creative enough because it just makes songs out of old music. What do you think? Is AI bad for new music?

Yes—AI music is not creative, says Peter

Using AI might be cheaper than paying a musician. If companies can use AI to produce popular music that makes lots of money from people buying and listening to it, it could put musicians like me out of work. If musicians can't earn money from music, there will be far fewer of them creating new songs. Anyway, listening to music that was made by a computer isn't the same experience as listening to human-made music.

When I create songs, I put different feelings and real experiences into my work, creating songs that connect with people at a deep level. Songs produced by AI aren't original because the computer just makes music from the old one. AI music isn't completely creative.

No—AI can produce new ideas, says Mary

I'm a music lover. When I turn on my radio or headphones and a great new song comes on, it makes me feel good. Wonderful music brings people together to sing and dance. If people are enjoying music, does it matter whether it was made by a human or a machine?

I think music makers can use computers, which help to perfect sound and mix different layers of a song. For them, AI is just another new technology, a tool that they can use to express ideas. It won't replace musicians but they can work with it. Building on AI music could save them time. It could allow much more music to be produced and it could lead to new and special style s of music. AI could create exciting music that humans could never have dreamed of.
