What's a spacewalk? Any time an astronaut gets out of a spacecraft(航天器) while in space, it is called a spacewalk. Astronautsgo on spacewalks for many reasons. For example, experiments can be placed on theoutside of a spacecraft. This lets scientists learn how being in space affects(影响) different things. By going on spacewalks, astronauts can also fix thingsinstead of bringing them back to the earth to fix.

   When astronautsgo on spacewalks, they wear spacesuits to keep themselves safe. Inside spacesuits,astronauts have the oxygen(氧气) they needto breathe and the water they need to drink. To keep the astronauts and the spacecraftsafe, the astronauts must leave and go back to the spacecraft through a specialdoor. When on a spacewalk, astronauts use safety tethers to stay close to theirspacecraft. Tethers are like ropes, connect the spacewalkers with the spacecraft.They keep astronauts from floating(漂 浮) away into space.Another way astronauts stay safe during spacewalks is by wearing a SAFER. SAFERis worn like a backpack. It helps an astronaut move around in space.

   How doastronauts train for spacewalks? One way is by going for a swim. Floating in spaceis a lot like floating in water. Astronauts practice spacewalks underwater in ahuge special swimming pool. For every one hour they will spend on a spacewalk, astronautsneed to train seven hours in the pool. Another way astronauts practice for a spacewalkis by using virtual reality(虚拟现实). It looksand feels just like a spacewalk.

   Today,only three countries have finished spacewalks independently. They are Russia, theUnited States and China. The first person to go on a spacewalk in the world wasAlexei Leonov from Russia. Zhai Zhigang is the first Chinese astronaut to go ona spacewalk. The world record of spacewalks is held by Russian astronaut AnatolySolovyev. He has been on 16 spacewalks and spent more than 82 hours outside in space.

The Terracotta Warriors, one of the eight wonders of the world, have enjoyed international fame. Located in Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, they are warriors of the first-ever emperor in1China or Qin Shi Huang in Chinese, Ying Zheng.

Even though I knew they are life-sized sculptures (雕塑), I was still2 when I saw them. I was lucky enough to3 the pit (深坑) and take a close look at them for the first time.

They were made around 2, 200 years ago. When I first got down into the pit, the sculptures scared me4some of them lacked body parts.

I was told that the Terracotta Warriors are not easy to preserve (保存;保护) for over thousands of years. But to my surprise, they were actually5 in color when they were first discovered. However, the color fell off6after being exposed in the air.

The difficulty of preservation is one of the reasons why they have stopped7out other pits. Although the Terracotta Warriors are breathtaking, they are only part of the Mausoleum (陵墓) of the First Qin Emperor.

Shen Wenxi, an expert and museum librarian of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told me there's an even grander area8 man-made mountains, rivers and seas inside the emperor' s underground palace.

However, there is no plan to dig them until there are perfect9of protecting and preserving them. Experts are still busy restoring the relics (修复文物) that were10in the 1970s.

In the 1870s, people in England loved {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (play) lawn(草地) tennis. But in winter, the weather was too cold. People {#blank#}4{#/blank#} wanted to enjoy the sport indoor started a new kind of tennis. They played it on their dining tables. That's why the sport is called" table tennis".

Thanks to an Englishman, Ivor Montagu, China was able to be a member of ITTF. In1959, China won the World Championship {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the first time. In 1988, table tennis became {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Olympic sport. The Chinese table tennis team did well in Tokyo 2020. They won four gold medals and three {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (silver)! It was really a great success.

On weekends, the school is often quiet. But at Furong School in Sangzhi of Hunan Province, students take part in fun activities, such as playing soccer, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} and singing under the care of their teachers. 

Most students at the school are left- behind children. Their parents work far from home and they have{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to do on weekends. The school sets up some clubs so that the students can learn and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} during weekends. 

Huang Ying is in the Table Tennis Club. "I often watch table tennis {#blank#}4{#/blank#} on TV. I think playing table tennis is one of the best ways of staying {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I play table tennis after school every day and I am really good at it now. " Huang says.
