Spider monkeys are New World primates(灵长类). They get their names because they have very long limbs(四肢) and tails, which make them look like spiders. They are often seen with their limbs on different branches.

Spider monkeys can be in tropical forests of Central and South America, from southern Mexico to Brazil. They are 35 to 66 centimeters long and weigh 13 to 26 pounds. They have long tails that they use to catch tree branches, kind of like a 5th hand.

Spider monkeys live in groups. One group usually has dozens of spider monkeys. They communicate with each other through screeches (尖叫声). At night, spider monkeys break off into smaller sleeping parties of about half a dozen or fewer. Unlike many other primates, males (雄性) stay together throughout their lives with the females. They leave their first groups to find another group.

When they go out to look for food, spider monkey groups take separate actions in order to avoid competition for it. They mainly eat fruit and nuts. They also eat other things like insects, honey, leaves, spiders and bird eggs. Spider monkeys actually play an important part in the spreading of seeds throughout the South American rain forests. Enemies that they need to keep an eye out for include animals like lions and crocodiles.

Spider monkeys are dying out. Woodcutting, which leads to the loss(丧失) of their natural living places, is playing a big role in their loss. These monkeys are also hunted for food, or to sell as pets. Spider monkeys are actually one of the most popular monkey pets around because of their look and their behavior. We must do something to protect them. After all, such good and interesting monkeys should live with humans for many years to come.

(1)、Why do spider monkeys get their names?
A、Because of their living habits. B、Because of the sounds they make. C、Because of the food they eat. D、Because of their appearance.
(2)、What do we know about a spider monkey?
A、It can use its tail as a hand. B、It can only live in Mexico. C、It stays in one group all its life. D、It usually weighs 13 to 26 kilograms.
(3)、What does the underlined word" it" in Paragraph 4 refer to?
A、The action. B、The food. C、The group. D、The spider monkey.
(4)、Which paragraph shows why spider monkeys are endangered?
A、Paragraph 2. B、Paragraph 3. C、Paragraph 4. D、Paragraph 5.
(5)、What does this passage mainly show us?
A、Some facts about spider monkeys. B、The living places of spider monkeys. C、The food spider monkeys like eating. D、Some ways to protect spider monkeys.

Nowadays in school life, a lot of students develop a fear of tests. It's not because tests are something to be afraid of. Most students are afraid of tests mainly because they don't always think they are well—prepared and they don't have enough self—confidence. If you follow the advice below, it's not difficult to overcome your fear of tests.

People who know that they are not well—prepared are usually those who fear tests most. However, most students don't know when they are truly prepared for a test. As long as you know that you have studied well and long enough, you have reason to believe that you are well—prepared.

Be confident about yourself. Confidence before a test can bring about two results: either you fail the test and feel as if your confidence was unfounded (毫无根据的) or you could actually do well in the test because of your confidence. Some students find that they experience the first result. However, this is only because those students might not have followed the first advice mentioned above. As long as you have studied well, you will be more confident of your chance to succeed in a test. If you feel as if you have not studied hard enough, then you will not be as confident as you should be.

Ask your teacher in advance (提前) about the material that is going to be covered in the test. In this way, you will know what you should prepare for and you can get confidence in the test. But you have to be brave enough to ask. Most students do not ask unless their teacher gives the information first, so make sure that you ask.

You should know that tests are only telling if you have got the knowledge, not how good or bad your IQ is. So, even if you do badly in one test, you should know that there are other tests to come. As long as you think that there is another tomorrow, you can overcome your fear of a test. However, make sure that you are going to prepare well for the other tests.

Fear can be a problem in the process of achieving success. However, with the right attitude (态度) and preparations, you can overcome your fear of tests by using these suggestions.

Why do we go to zoos?Millions of people around the world visit zoos each year,but the reason is hard to explain.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}But the animals they see in zoos are little like the toys,cartoons,and decorations that fill their homes. For such children,meting with real animals can be confusing even upsetting

The great interest that children have in animals today might lead one to suppose that this has always been the case.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}That was also when zoos became an important part of middle-class life.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}They lived together with our ancestors(祖先)in a shared natural environment. In the Industrial Era,the human domination(支配)of animals could be seen in the popularity of real-looking animal toys.

Children rode rocking-horses that had realistic features,and they slept with bears,tigers,and rabbits that looked and felt almost real. The Twentieth Century marked a further development—the change of animals into people.

This was the age of Babar the Elephant,Hello Kitty,and the Lion King. Parents and children had previously wanted animals that looked like animals. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

In a zoo they hope to see the living breathing versions of their character friends. They find instead unfamiliar creatures who cannot speak,smile or interact with them. For this reason,a visit to the zoo can be disappointing for children today. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}Meeting real animals reminds us forcefully of the boundary( 界 限 )between imagination and reality. When we visit animals in a zoo,perhaps we will recall our true relationship not only to animals but to the entire world.

A. Animals are the best friends of the human beings.

B. Many of those visitors are children,whose lives are already surrounded by animals' images.

C. Perhaps that disappointment is the best gift a zoo can offer

D. But now they want animals that look and act like humans

E. Yet,it was not until the Industrial Era that animals became part of childhood.

F. In prehistoric times, there had been no zoos,as animals were a real part of the human world

Do you have any online classes? It is possible to take classes at home. All you need is a computer and a headset.

However, most students don't seem to like online classes. According to a recent survey, only 33 percent of the students would take such classes. Over 1, 500 students from 10 cities took part in the survey.

Many students said it was hard to focus on studying while taking online classes. This was true for Kate, 15, at the High School of Peking University. "There are no classmates and no real teachers watching me. I can surf the Internet or do other things if I want to. It's harder to always stay focused," she said.

Kate prepares a lot before taking her classes to make sure she will keep her attention. She also pushes herself to communicate with teachers. Students can come up with or answer questions while taking online classes.

Joice, 14, at Yucai Middle School, thinks online interaction (互动) isn't enough. "The online teachers don't really get to know me. When I don't hand in homework, all I get is a short message instead of real concern (关心) ," she said.

However, online classes still have advantages. "It saves time and money compared with taking offline classes. Also, if I don't understand some parts of a lesson, I can watch it over again," Kate said.
