There are three melody roads in Japan. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} When you drive on it, you can hear the song Memories of Summer. Lots of drivers like this road very much. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Many people drive their cars to the road only because they want to listen to the nice song.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} The designer (设计者) of this road says, "You can hear the beautiful song best when your speed (速度) is 50 kilometers an hour".

With more and more rain falling, it's time for snakes to be active. Living in the city, it never crosses your mind that we might meet them face to face.

Most people are afraid of snakes. They may think snakes are dangerous and ugly. There are more than 2,000 kinds of snakes. Most of them live in mountains or forests, and in cities sometimes we can find them in grass or other dark places. Snakes can't walk or run because they have no legs or feet, but these long and thin animals can move very fast on their stomachs. Snakes usually have green, yellow or black skins, which make it difficult for their enemies to find them. In winter they hibernate in holes. They look for a hole to stay inside, in the ground, or in a rock or a tree. They do not wake up again until spring comes. Snakes feed on mice, frogs, bird eggs and so on.

Snakes play an important part in nature. We can make useful medicine with them. Without their help, the rodents (啮齿动物) will be out of control. But many of them are in danger of disappearing. Houses and buildings take up the land where snakes live. Many snakes lose their lives in traffic, and people often kill snakes for their skins or meat.

Look! There are forty-eight desks and forty-eight chairs in my classroom. 2 are small. They are our desks and chairs. There 3 forty-eight students in our class. They are 26 boys and 22 girls.

There is also a big desk 4 of the classroom. 5 big desk is our teacher's. Sue is next to it. She is reading a book and she likes 6 books very much. 7 bag is under the desk. There is also a television in our classroom. 8 is the television? It is 9 the back of the classroom.

We like our classroom. It is a very beautiful classroom. It's big 10 clean. We clean it every day.

 Silk is a thin and pretty strong fiber(纤维制品). Thousands of years ago, in ancient China, people began making the silk fiber into a soft fabric(织物). It was very beautiful. However, silk could only be used in the palace(宫殿) because of its high 1 at first.

The silk in China was not a secret. When the Chinese government paid visits to other countries, they carried gifts made of silk. The people in other countries started to use this 2 thing. It became popular in the West 3 .

Silk business always encouraged people who traded (从事贸易) to 4 ways to travel from Europe to the Far East. Later they came to be known as" the Silk Road". At the same time, some people 5 sea routes(路线).

Do you know bamboo(竹子)？ It's always green in a year and it is everywhere in Bali. There are 1，450 kinds of bamboo around the world， but we only use seven kinds of them to make things. We can use bamboo to make things like beds， desks and chairs. 

My father uses bamboo to build Green School in Bali. In Green School， all of the rooms are made of bamboo. There are a lot of bamboo things in the classrooms. Every classroom has a bamboo blackboard， some bamboo desks and bamboo chairs. 

But every classroom has no windows, doors or walls. It only has a bamboo roof ， and you can see it when you look up in the classroom. 

Green School is very nice. Its students are from 40 countries. They have maths， English, art and music classes. In their free time, all students grow fruit and vegetables around the school. And they also keep pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks. A lot of food comes from their hands.
