Once upon a time, there was a young man called Ma Liang He was poor. But he was kind and hard-working and liked drawing. One night, he dreamed(梦见)that an old man gave him a magic paintbrush(神奇的画笔)and asked him to use it to help poor people. When he woke up, he found the magic paintbrush in his desk.

From that day on, he used the paintbrush whenever people needed help. When he saw that people had no water to use or drink, he drew a river and the river came to life. People could bring water from the river.

Then many people knew about the magic paintbrush. But a few days later, a rich and bad man heard that the magic paintbrush could turn everything to life. He took the magic paintbrush away from Ma Liang's house and put Ma Liang into prison(监牢). Then he drew a lot of pictures with the paintbrush, but they could not become real.

So he said to Ma Liang, "If you draw some pictures for me and make them real, I will make you free."

The young man agreed and drew a sea first. Then he drew a golden mountain which was far away from the sea. The bad man said, Draw a big ship quickly. I want to go there to get the gold."

After the young man drew a big ship, the bad man jumped into the ship with his family and friends quickly. When the ship moved to the middle of the sea, the young man drew a large wave(波浪)and they never came back.

It was December 23. I became 1 because it was my last night at school that term. The December holidays would 2 the next day.

3 , the happy time came and the December holidays started. I hurried home and well prepared for my trip. It was time for my 4 , my sister and me to meet my father at the airport and fly on holiday.

During the National Day holiday of 2023, I had an unforgettable trip to Beijing. My family and I watched the flag-raising ceremony(升旗仪式) in Tian'anmen Square (广场).

That was a 1 important moment for us Chinese. It was 2 for us to get up very early because the ceremony started at sunrise(日出). 3 spent three days getting a chance(机会) to watch the ceremony. On the first day, 4 we got up at 5 a. m, we still missed the ceremony. The following day, we got up a little bit 5 in the morning. But when we got to the square, the street was already so 6 that we couldn't move. At last we could not get closer to the ceremony. So on the 7 day, we got up at around 3: 30 a. m. When we 8 the Tian'an Men Square,t he ceremony began. One hour later, we had a close and 9 view(看) of the flag raising ceremony. Seeing it gave me a sense of pride(自豪) and it really 10 my heart.

On Sunday, Leo and his friends go to the West Hill Farm. It's far from their school, so they go there on {#blank#}1{#/blank#} school bus. They take some food and drinks with them. When they get to the farm, the farmers {#blank#}2{#/blank#} very glad to see them.

Cui Chenxi is a student in a middle school. When he was preparing lessons before class, he noticed a mistake. In one of the pictures, there is a"hoverfly(食蚜蝇)", and there is a word under {#blank#}1{#/blank#} picture to describe it. But the word is"bee" .

To our surprise, hundreds of books about natural science {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(keep)in his family. And Cui has a bookshelf of his own. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Cui needs to do lots of sports and join in after-class activities, he still spends more than one hour reading natural science books everyday. He is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (please)to learn what he loves.
