How to Develop Good Learning Habits

Different countries have their own festivals and holidays. They have different ways {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(celebrate). Take China as {#blank#}2{#/blank#} example. The Dragon Boat Festival is also called "the Double-Fifth Festival" because it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(take) place on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. The best part of the festival is the dragon boat {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(race). On that day, some riversides are always crowded with people. What's more, eating zongzi is a {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(tradition) culture during the festival. Zongzi in the south of China is usually {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(salt), but it's usually sweet in the north. 

The festival is getting popular around the world. But how can we introduce more {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(festival) in China to foreigners? The answers {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the question are different. In my opinion, we can make posters about festivals or holidays to show {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(we) feelings and put them online. It can make overseas people know more about Chinese culture {#blank#}10{#/blank#} love it.

My parents and I take a trip to the mountain on the Double Ninth Festival（重阳节）each year. We always g{#blank#}1{#/blank#} up very early in the morning. The weather is usually cool at this time of year, so we always spend our whole day there. As we walk t{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the forest, the wind b{#blank#}3{#/blank#} gently on our faces. The mountain roads are c{#blank#}4{#/blank#} by dry yellow leaves. Everything is so beautiful! We always have p{#blank#}5{#/blank#} at the top of the mountain.

Domestic drama film Better Days (《少年的你》) led the Chinese mainland box office nowadays. It tells the story of two high school students whose fates were changed by an accident. Seventeen-year-old Nian meets Bei, a tough street kid. Nian is the subject of cruel bullying (欺凌) at high school. The film is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. The movie is set before College Entrance Examination. It offers thoughts of competition between teenagers and national issues of school bullying. 

Bullying is a sad reality that has affected many kids. What is worse about it is that bullying can lead to more result s such as lowered self-respect, poor performance and self-harm among kids. Here are a few anti-bullying dos and don'ts for you. 

·Walk away from a bully and tell an adult. It's OK to be scared and ask for help. 

·Don't look down when a bully says something. Stand tall and look into the bully's eyes. 

·Take a moment to calm down before responding to a bully. It is tough to think straight, and recall the reply you've practised with your parents, if you're scared. 

·Speak clearly without making the bully angry, say, "I want you to stop laughing at me"

·Use your best poker face (扑克脸). The less scared or affected you look, the less the bully will do. 

·Get between a bully and his/ her target. Go and stand beside a child who is being bullied. Turn him/ her away from the bully, and walk with him/ her towards an adult. 

·Avoid being alone with a bully. Bullying usually happens where adults are not present, so you should avoid empty hall ways, bathrooms or areas of the playground with bad sight lines to an adult. Try to sit near the front of the bus, and be near the cafeteria manager at lunch time. 

A student asked his teacher, "Sir, I have a question. How many friends should a man have, one or many?"

"It is very easy, " the teacher answered. "Get me that red apple from the highest(最高的) branch(树枝) of the tree. " The student looked up and said, "It's too high! I can't get it."

"Ask a friend to help. " the teacher said.

 The student called a friend and stood on his shoulders(肩膀) for the branch. "I still can't get it, Sir, " said the student sadly after the first try.

"Don't you have more friends? " the teacher smiled. The student asked more friends to come over. They stood on each other's shoulders, trying to make a pyramid(金字塔) to get higher. But the student still couldn't get the apple. Then one of the friends went home, brought a ladder(梯子) and the student finally got the apple.

 After getting the apple, the teacher asked, "So, do you know how many friends a man needs?"

"I do," the student said. "Many, so together we can work out any problem."

"Sounds good, " the teacher said. "You need as many friends as you can. Among( 在······之中) them, there will be at least(至少) one clever man. He can think of a good idea, like getting a ladder!"

There is a woman in the second drawing. She is thin. She is wearing a red dress. She has straight blonde hair, a small mouth, a big nose and two big eyes. She looks angry. Who is she? Lisa says she is our mom. But Mom has curly blonde hair, small eyes and a small nose.

There is an animal in the last drawing, too. Its head is an apple. Its hair is black. It has a long mouth, and it is a banana. Its two legs are carrots. What is it? Lisa says it is a horse, but it doesn't look like a horse at all.
