Animals Have Feelings

Animals have feelings, just like you and me.

When a dog is happy, it will wag its tail.

When a cat is angry, it will wag its tail, too.

When a bird is happy, it will sing songs.

When a monkey is afraid of you, it will run away.

When a bear is sad, it will hurt itself.

When a snake is worried, it will bite you.

Big Ben is not the name of a man. It's the name of a big clock in London. This clock has four faces. So, no matter where you stand, you can read the time on the face of Big Ben. Each face is the size of a bus. The hands are about four meters long. If you go to London, you may want to visit the Houses of Parliament(英国议会大厦). In that place you will find Big Ben sits at the top(顶端)of the clock tower in the Houses of Parliament. You will probably hear it and see it. The big clock makes such a loud noise. It goes every quarter of an hour. Big Ben has been the most famous symbol(象征)of London.

Chinese people always say, "The man who doesn't reach the    Great Wall is not a true man." The Great Wall is the longest(最长的) wall in the world. It starts from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east(东) to Jiayuguan Pass in the west(西). The Great Wall is very famous. Many people come to visit it every year.

We can go to the Badaling Great Wall. I want to go there with Max. He is friendly. He has a black hat and I have a brown hat. We can take my schoolbag. There is a white camera(相机), some bread and some water in it. I can't wait to go there!

 Sam: It's a beautiful day, Mum. What are we going to do this morning?

 Mum: We're going to the beach by car. We're going swimming there. Then we're going to have some pizza in an Italian restaurant.

 Sam: What are we going to do this afternoon?

 Dad: We're going to see a film. The film is about a special trip.

 Sam& Amy: That sounds great! We will have a good time.

Making friends is becoming easier on the Internet. We call these friends e-friends. They may live in different cities and countries.Many websites (网站) help you talk with people from all over the world.We can join some groups and share our daily life. Also,e-friends tell interesting stories and traditions (习俗) in their cities and countries. So we can learn about different cultures as. well. Having e-friends can be fun. But there are some disadvantages (缺点) too. Remember not everyone online is honest. We should be careful and not tell e-friends about our address (地址) or phone numbers.
