"Dreams (梦) may be more important than sleep. We all need to dream," some scientists say.
Dreams take up about one quarter of our sleeping time. People have several dreams each night. Dreams are like short films. They are usually in colour. Some dreams are like old films. They come to us over and over again. That may be because the dreamer is worrying about something. Dreaming may be a way of trying to find an answer.
Some people get new ideas about their work from dreams. They may have been thinking about their work all day. These thoughts can carry over into dreams.
Sometimes we wake up with a good feeling from a dream. But often we can't remember the dream.
Too much dreaming can be harmful. The more we sleep, the longer we dream. The mind works hard when we dream. That is why we may have a long sleep and still wake up tired.
My book report by Ivy Tang This book is for children. It is about the oceans. It tells us about different kinds of water pollution and the things we can do to keep the oceans clean. It also tells us about the different ways we can save water. In this book, Simon Walker said, ‘Three quarters of the Earth is water. For thousands of years, the oceans have helped us by giving us food and water. Now, we are feeding them with dirty water from factories and rubbish from our homes. Now, the oceans are crying because they are very sick. Please help save them. ' You can see many wonderful photographs of the oceans in this book. There are also beautiful photographs of sea animals like whales and sea horses. You can also see photographs of the famous pink dolphins. I think it is a very interesting and useful book. |
