 阅读下面的短文,根据短文内容回答问题。

Who do you think is the greatest English writer of all time? I think that person should be William Shakespeare. His popular sayings, like "To be or not to be, that is a question", and his stories such as the tragedy(悲剧), Romance of Romeo and Juliet, are almost known in every corner of the world.

In 1594, William Shakespeare became a key playwright(剧作家) of a popular acting company in the city. Whether comedies or tragedies, Shakespeare's plays catch people's hearts with the complicated(复杂的) characters and plots(情节) that show truths about human nature.

His comedies are always full of romance, and they always have happy endings. That's why people enjoy his comedies a lot. His tragedies, however, can be very dark, Macbeth tells the story about a Scottish man who becomes the king by killing all his enemies(敌人).

Shakespeare's works have had a big influence(影响) on the English language. He was a master(大师) of words. He created about 1,700 English words, including everyday ones like "lonely", "hurry" and "critical", according to the New YorkPost.

Of course, Shakespeare wrote 400 years ago and his English was very different from that of today. His plays have been translated into many languages and are acted more often than any other playwright. There are over 400 films and TV dramas adapted(改编) from his works. Shakespeare is not for an age, but for all time.

(1)、What was William Shakespeare?
(2)、How do Shakespeare's plays catch people's hearts?
(3)、Why do people think William Shakespeare was a master of words?
(4)、How many films and TV dramas are adapted from William Shakespeare's works?

One day when Picasso was walking along a road, a woman passed by and saw him. She ran to Picasso for a painting as a gift. Picasso smiled and said {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(polite), "I'm sorry, Madam. I have nothing to paint. I am {#blank#}2{#/blank#}/ˈempti/ handed here. I may make you a painting some other time."

However, the woman didn't give up. She {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(keep) on, "Please, I am a big fan of you and I want to meet you for years." Hearing this, Picasso was moved and then took out a small {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of paper and a pen, and began to draw something. Within 10 seconds, Picasso finished {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(draw) and handed it to the woman, "Take this! It's a million-dollar painting."

But the woman thought Picasso was just playing a joke on her. How could it be {#blank#}6{#/blank#}/wɜːθ/ a million dollars just in 10 seconds? So she went to the market and was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(surprise) to learn that it was true.

When meeting Picasso again, she wished she could be his student. She said, "Please teach me so that I can do the same thing {#blank#}8{#/blank#} such a short time."

Picasso smiled and said, "Dear, the drawing I made was not in 10 seconds {#blank#}9{#/blank#} my thirty-year efforts towards the arts!" The woman was speechless.

We fix our eyes on others' {#blank#}10{#/blank#}/səkˈses/ more often than the hard work and patience behind it. If we want to reach it, we need experience and struggle(奋斗).

When Chandra went into Books ‘n' More, she noticed that there was no one else in the bookstore. The last four or five times she had stopped in here, she had also been the only customer.

That night, Chandra told her family about the situation at the bookstore. Her brother Pete said, "The bookstore needs more people. How about starting a book club? People could meet in the store to discuss a book they've all read. If they buy it at the store, they'll receive a discount. "

"That's great!" Chandra said excitedly. "How about having some writers come and do a book signing? I even have an idea for the first writer. Mr. Fletcher, my math teacher, writes children's books. I'm sure he would be willing to help. I could put up fliers about the event at my school. "

The next day, Chandra shared her thoughts with Mrs. Lee, the bookstore owner. Mrs. Lee seemed unsure at first, but by the time Chandra finished, she was smiling. "I'll try your ideas, but I need some help. Someone will have to lead the book club discussions. Also, I'll need help advertising these events because I've never been good at such things. "

Chandra promised that she would help. She asked Mr. Fletcher if he would read and sign some of his books at Books ‘n' More, and he happily agreed. A date was chosen, and Chandra threw herself into the preparations. She personally invited all her friends, the other teachers, and even the school headmaster.

Finally, everything was ready for the big night. Mrs. Lee opened the event. "Before I introduce tonight's writer, I must thank a young lady named Chandra Phillips. This exciting evening was mostly managed by her. If she were a little older, I would have her as my advertising director, " said Mrs. Lee. The crowd laughed and clapped. As Mr. Fletcher began to read from his latest book, Mrs. Lee took a seat next to Chandra.

"Could I really work here someday?" Chandra asked. Mrs. Lee nodded with a smile. Chandra tried to listen to Mr. Fletcher, but her mind swam with even more ways to help Books ‘n' More be successful. After all, she had to protect her future job!
