Students learn their lessons in class. In class, teachers teach them. Students sit in the classroom listening to the teacher. Is this the only way for students to learn? Of course not. There is another way to learn. That is, students can teach themselves. For example, if you cannot remember anything when you are doing your homework, you can look through（浏览） your book to find the answer. This is a way to teach yourself. And it's not a difficult thing. We can do it at any place and at any time.

    How to teach yourself? The first thing you must do is to read. Read something interesting. The second is that you must ask yourself questions. Many clever students often do this. The questions are about something you don't understand or you want to know more about. You can write down these questions. The third is to answer the questions yourself by thinking hard, by reading the texts or other books, and sometimes by asking other people. These are the ways of teaching yourself. And if you do these things for a long time, you can succeed（成功）in your study.

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy (富有) and wise (聪明). This is an old English saying. It means that we should go to bed early at night and get up early in the morning. If we do, we shall be healthy. We shall also be rich and clever.

Is this true? Perhaps it is. The body must have enough sleep. Children of your age need ten hours' sleep every night. If you go to bed late, you can't have enough sleep. Then you can't think carefully and your homework will be wrong. You will not be wise and you may not become wealthy!

Some people go to bed late at night and get up late in the morning. This is not good for them. We should sleep at night when it is dark. The dark helps us sleep well. When the daylight comes, we should get up. This is the time for exercise. If the body is not used, it will become weak.

Exercise keeps it strong. Exercise helps the blood (血液) to move around inside the body. Blood takes nutrition (营养) to all parts of our bodies. The brains (大脑) in our heads also need blood. We think with our brains. If we keep our bodies healthy, and take exercise, we can think better!

Our bodies also need air to breathe (呼吸). Without air we will die. Get up early in the morning and we can have plenty of clean, fresh air. That will keep us healthy and happy.

With the development of society, our living conditions have improved, and our world has changed greatly. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} as for the environment, some problems have appeared together with the social development.

Human activities cause many problems for our planet. For example, sea level has {#blank#}2{#/blank#} by 15 cm over the past century. The Amazon rainforest level has reduced by 17% in the last 50 years because farmers cut down the trees for {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. People killed a lot of animals and the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of animals has dropped.

The earth's temperature is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} than before, and it turns more ice into water, so the oceans and land have changed, too. Some animals and plants couldn't keep up with the changes, so they disappeared {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. Unless we change our {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, our future in a hundred years' time won't be hopeful. To solve the problem, we should take action at once. First of all we should choose green {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to go to work or go to school as much as possible. Next, we should say "No" {#blank#}9{#/blank#} water and food waste. What's more, we should build parks to protect some of the land. Trees will be planted in the parks, and those parks also give animals places to live. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} living environment will be better and greener.

I think that basketball has changed me from a weak girl to a strong girl. I am now     in Class Seven, Grade Six. I began to play basketball when I was in the first grade. Recently, in preparation for the competition, my friends and I train for about an hour every day. Last year, we didn't do well in the game, and this year we all want to win first place.

A huge challenge scientists face is watching endangered animals in order to help them. This is where artificial intelligence (Al) has brought a turning point in the way information on these animals is collected and studied. The Maui dolphin is one of the most valuable and endangered dolphins in the ocean. With a collection of their summer behavior facts, researchers knew that there were just 54 of these mysterious animals living off the coast of New Zealand. However, because of weather conditions, researchers know almost nothing about their winter behavior. After four years of developing and testing, these scientists were able to use a drone(无人机) with AI to watch the dolphins no matter the season. The result was more wild areas provided for them to live.

In Zambia's Kafue National Park, home to more than 6,000 elephants, AI is being used to enhance traditional methods of preventing hunting. Cameras record any boats that try to enter the park. AI immediately notices this activity and warns park guards, who deal with the hunters.

In Brazil, AI quickly studied over 150,000 satellite pictures, discovering that the world's largest wetland has lost 74 percent of its surface water, Not until that discoveries did governments realize how serious the situation was. The use of AI has helped to speed action and increase our ability to protect the natural world for the future to come.

There are many different kinds of clubs in {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(we) school such as the music club, the chess club{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the sports club. The sports club is the most popular. In the sports club, we can do many different sports such as {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(swim), skating, and playing basketball and volleyball. Most students like playing basketball best of all the ball games. It{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(make) us healthy. And lots of boys would like to be good basketball{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(player). Some girls also think playing basketball is very interesting. There are many girls in the basketball team and they work hard and play {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(good).
