I have a big schoolbag. There are so many things in it. Look! This is my book and that is my pencil box. The book is red. The pencil box is a panda. It's black and white. There are some pencils, an eraser and a ruler in the pencil box.

Winter Olympics and China

The first Winter Olympics were held in Paris in 1924.

In 1980，Chinese athletes took part for the first time in the Winter Olympics.At the 1992 Winter Olympics，Chinese athletes won medals for the first time.Ye Qiaobo won two silver medals.At the same Olympics，Li Yan won a silver medal in the short track speed skating race.The United States held the 19th Winter Olympics in 2002.Chinese athlete Yang Yang won a gold medal.This was the first gold medal won in Winter Games in Chinese history.In the 2014 Winter Olympics，China won three gold medals，four silver medals，and two bronze medals.

The 24th Olympic Winter Games were held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou in 2022.Beijing became the first city in the world to have hosted both the summer and winter editions of the Olympic Games.Chinese athletes won nine gold medals.

Beijing Opera is our national(国家的) opera. You can learn music, dance and art from it. It has a long history. Its singing comes from Anhui, Hubei, Jiangsu and Shanxi. There are four main roles(主要角色) in Beijing Opera now: Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou. Beijing Opera shows many interesting stories, beautiful facial paintings, wonderful gestures(姿态) and fighting(打斗). 

Beijing Opera is an important part of Chinese culture. Now, more and more young people like it. And more people around the world learn about Beijing Opera.

Hello, my name is Lily. My favorite festival is Chinese Spring Festival Every Spring Festival, I always have a big dinner with my family. I often go out to visit my friends and talk with them. It's a lot of fun. However（然而）, I didn't have a good time this Spring Festival because of COVID-19（新冠肺炎）. I had to（不得不）stay at home. I couldn't（不能）play outside. And I couldn't visit friends, either（也）. My mother and father had to put on a mask（口罩） if they went to the supermarket. When I was bored，I could only call my friends. Sometimes I cooked some food with my mother. Sometimes I did some exercise at home with my father. Now lam so happy because I can go back to school to study.

Amy is a student from the UK. The summer holiday came, she was trying to find away to get money. One day she sat under a big tree in a park and thought how to get money. "I can clean houses and cut grass for others." She said to herself. Suddenly, she had a good idea! Her parents paid（付钱）her to walk dogs every day. Maybe other people would pay her to walk dogs, too. Amy went to many houses and asked the people. "I can walk dogs. Can I help you?" Some of the people didn't have any dogs. Others wanted to walk their dogs. She was delighted. Every morning that summer she walked dogs. At the end of the summer holiday, Amy got sixty dollars.
