Schuylerville High School students have a wide range of interests, which are reflected by the number of clubs and organizations in which our pupils participate. Here are some of the most popular clubs.

Environmental Club

Open to students in grades 9—12 Advisor: Mrs. Flores

The High School Environmental Club is open to all students interest increasing environmental awareness throughout the school. Activities include recycling, environmental competitions, volunteering with green schools and outdoor events. This run student club collects and recycles paper products throughout the school building.

Freshman Class

Open to students in grades 9—10 Advisor: Mr. winslow

The freshmen class participates in several activities throughout the year to raise money for the class account. The class officers meet once a month to discuss business that affects the entire class. All members of the freshman class are encouraged to participate in some type of community service during the year.

Literary magazine

Open to students in grades 10—12 Advisor: Mr. Sgambati

Members of the Literary Magazine collect, edit and often contribute to the body of student work. Literary Magazine meetings will also give students the opportunity to share and receive feedback on the creative pieces that they're working on, as well as the chance to learn about writing practices and strategies.

Mock Trial Team

Open to stude…s in grades 11—12Advisor: Mrs. Lewis

Mock Trial is an after—school activity that helps students develop useful knowledge about the law. Students play out all the roles and use general rules of evidence and fact explanations in a school court. They will work with a real lawyer and an advisor to further understand the court process.

While many of the best movie theaters in Chicago were closed last summer, here are some drive-in theaters in Chicago.

Rock Island Public House

This drive-in place is a little small, but all of Rock Island Public House's screens are free—you'll just have to show up early to get your place. It is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. People can pay to get drinks and food from the theater.

Drive-in at Lincoln Yards

There is a 30-foot screen and 10-foot space between cars for people to keep social distance. It also offers snacks and drinks to people to buy.

McHenry Outdoor Theater

Starting from the 1950s, this drive-in theater is open no later than 6:30 p. m. each day and tickets there are first come, first served. But thankfully the theater has room for 350 cars. You can buy great food from snacks to full meals in the theater.

Do you like summer holiday？In Australia, summer holiday is from late December to early February. Students have to finish their homework. They should read some English books and write reports. They also seed to do science projects with their classmates. They often go to special classes to learn swimming, singing and cooking. And they really like to go to the beach to camp with their parents. 

Summer holiday in the US is very long, from early June to around late August. Teachers will give summer homework. But if students don't do it, it's OK. There are many classes and camps. They can be about sports, or outdoor survival skills （户外生存技巧）. Some students also go camping with friends or family. Some students will try to make money by doing the housework. Some will do voluntary work like helping the elderly or the poor for free. 

In France summer holiday usually goes from mid﹣June to the end of August. But the first day is different for everyone because of the day of the last exam. French students don't have any homework or classes. They spend the holiday having fun. Some students like traveling around the world. They see nature in Africa. They visit America to learn English. They go to China. Other students have fun in France. They camp on the beach, see friends watch movies, go swimming and have barbecue （烧烤）

I'm Tony. I'm an English boy, but now I'm in Wuhan. My parents came to Wuhan for work. So I came here with them. 

I like Chinese very much. It's my favourite subject, so I always ask my Chinese classmates for help. And I help them with their English. In my free time, I like watching TV and practising Chinese from it. After eight months, I can speak Chinese very well. 

I'm good at science, too. I think it's very interesting and useful. But I'm not good at maths. I don't know much about maths. Maths lessons are not easy for me. I want to thank my Chinese classmates. They always help me with it. 

At weekends, I like to play with my Chinese classmates. I know many things about China from them. And I made many Chinese friends. We always have a good time!

 Jason can't find his watch. It is blue. The watch is from his uncle Tom.

 Jason makes a telephone call to his father. He says, "Dad, I can't find my watch. Do you know where it is?" Mr. Smith says, "Jason, I don' t. Is it on your desk?""No, it's not on the desk."

 Jason calls his mother at 878-4324. He asks, "Mom, do you know where my watch is?" Mrs. Smith says, "Oh, I think it's in your room." But Jason's room isn't tidy. He doesn't want to look for it everywhere. Jason puts down the phone and sits in the sofa. And just when he wants to call his uncle at 879-5657, his sister Lucy says, "Jason,I…"

 Jason says, "Lucy, I am busy now."

"Yeah? Busy looking for your watch? It's on your wrist!" says Lucy.
