Is your food and drink healthy? A lot of ice-cream, hamburgers and cola are unhealthy（不健康的）. Meat is healthy but too much meat is not good for children. Cola and candy are very sweet, and too much sugar is bad for you. Eat the right food and be healthy. Carrots, eggs and sweet potatoes are good for your eyes. Milk, cheese and fish are good for your teeth. A bit tired? Have lots of delicious chicken soup! It is important to remember: eat well, stay healthy, and don't get fat!

The following are some suggestions on healthy eating.

● Eat noodles or rice, not hamburgers.

● Have a good breakfast every morning.

● Drink juice, water, tea and milk, not cola.

● Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, not candy or ice-cream.

Traditional Chinese culture is rich and interesting. It has different{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(形式)，such as traditional Chinese opera, festivals, handwriting, and so on. Here is a brief{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(介绍) about some of the traditional Chinese culture.

The Lion Dance is one of the{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(最生气勃勃的) folk dances in China. The dance has a history of more than 2, 000 years. In Chinese tradition, the lion is{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(认为) to be a mascot (吉祥物), which can bring good luck.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (表演) the lion dance at the Lantern Festival has become a custom in many parts of China. People can pray for good luck, safety and happiness by doing that. 

The Duanwu Festival, also called the Dragon Boat Festival, is to honor the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. People threw zongzi into the water after Qu Yuan threw {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(他自己) into the river, hoping that the fish would eat the zongzi instead of his body. For {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(千) of years, the festival has been marked by zongzi and dragon boat races.

Wushu can be traced back to ancient times. As we all know, the Chinese Wushu Association has been working very hard to {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(传播) the popularity of Wushu. As a way of self-defense and to keep people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(健康的) and strong, Wushu has become popular in some other countries,{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (尤其) in Africa.

Damien Baxter is very happy. He has fourteen brothers and sisters! They never fight(打架) with each other.

The Baxter family live in a house in Western Australia. Their house has seven bedrooms and many beds. It is a big house with many children in it.

The Baxter family are very busy. There's lots of work to do in the house. When a child is eight years old, he or she starts to help with the housework. In the Baxter family, children are happy to help parents with the housework. But Damien doesn't have work to do, because he is only three years old.

The family doesn't have a car. But Damien's dad has a bus. It has eighteen seats. Damien's dad drives his children to school or work.

If you've been studying for a while, you'll notice that there is more than one type of "English". The website, Big Seven Travel, made a list of the world's 50 most attractive accents(口音), and many different kinds of English made the list. 

The main reasons that affect the way people speak a language are geography — where they are in the world, and society — the way their communities speak. As a result, English has many differences in vocabulary and slang(俚语). 

Located in two different places, the US and the UK provide great examples. They often have different words for the same things. The US people call the back part of a car, used for carrying big and heavy things or suitcases, the"trunk", but in the UK, people call it the"boot". In the US, the word"boot" means a wheel clamp(车轮夹锁) that police put on a car. 

Slang also causes confusion (困惑). The US slang is hugely different thanks to many kinds of people who have moved to the country. African- American slang is especially confusing for foreign language learners. It uses its own grammar. For example, "a person who is awake to reality" would be called"a woke person". Southern American slang also can be confusing. "I'm fixing to fix it" means"I'm getting ready to fix it". Australian slang, meanwhile, is all about abbreviations(缩写词). They say"sanga" for"sandwich", "brekkie" for"breakfast", and"arvo" for"afternoon". It can make you wonder if either of these countries is actually speaking English. 

English writer Virginia Woolf once wrote, "Language is wine upon the lips. " The next time you're speaking English with someone, check the accent on the bottle!
